Ah thanks for the info, I’ll go ahead and wait for LL then because I need to order some buttons. I can probably wait a bit since the wiring shouldn’t take long… I was just worried it might take a while for them to restock. Thanks for (what I’m sure will be) a great product and the quick response.
Toodles: I’d like your honest opinion (based on pictures) on your take of the SF4 sticks (both standard and TE). From an electrician standpoint/modding PCB standpoint. What do you think?
Now I know you don’t have hands on with it (yet), but I’m trying my best to see if I can squeeze one out your way. Please either PM me or post here. Either or, I’d love to hear what you have to say.
Thanks!
Sure. I’ll post up a novella in your thread in a moment.
Bought two Cthulu boards yesterday. Hope Chad gets them in soon…
great item toodles. and thanks for your help. i really hope this^^^^ happens for you. plus it would help out a bunch of us and help our planning for the TE arrival.
Toodles, do you prefer that we buy directly from you or from LizardLick?
Just wondering the best way to support this.
I appreciate the consideration, but there’s no need to worry. If you’re looking to trade for one (check the first post) then definitely go through me, but otherwise go ahead and order it from LizardLick with no worries.
^ any idea when Lizardlick will be getting in a new order of cthulhu board (already assembled)? if you have any extra, ill gladly order one from you.
Same answer as before; there’s a box en route, but if you absolutely must have it ASAP, I can get one out in the mail for you the day after you pay for it. Keep in mind that if you’re also ordering parts, waiting the day or two will save you money, but if you want one in the mail immediately cost be damned, then I can do that for you.
Hey Tootles I got a quick question. I was able to get a pre-order in for the 360 TE stick recently so I just started looking into the Cthulhu and it seems like it should be really easy to put one in the 360 TE to make it work on ps3/360 w/out the need to solder (which is great for me because I don’t have the tools, or any experience, necessary to do so).
However my problem is that I have a lot of import fighters that I can’t play on my US ps3 so I absolutely need a ps2 stick as well. So my question is, what would I need to do in order to make it work on ps2 as well?

I suggest all potential customers should read through the thread. Installing an MC Cthulhu is completely the same as installed a regular Cthulhu. If you’re wanting to install a first party playstation pad in there, check the “2 pcb’s in one stick” thread; it not a configuration I can support.
Sorry about that. I should have read the entire thread before posting instead of simply skimming it and posting right away.
So when you say MC Cthulhu do you mean that the MC Cthulhus you have been working on are going to be up for sale soon or did you just mean MC as in the people looking forward to hooking it up to the 360 TE? I saw you mentioned beta testing last week in this post http://forums.shoryuken.com/showpost.php?p=5987644&postcount=447 and if you still need beta testers I would love to do so once the TE comes out (of course if the Cthulhus works for it like we are expecting). However I suspect you would want someone that can help test asap instead of waiting 2 more weeks.
not sure if this is the right place to ask this question, but would one USB be able to power two cthulu boards at the same time (aka two sticks, one usb) or should i just plug each stick in separately?
?? If you have more than one Cthulhu, each Cthulhu needs its own cord, period. However if you have multiple Cthulhus, like for a two player control panel, you can plug those two cords into a USB Hub, and run the one cable from the Hub to the PC.
I’m completely dumbfounded. I cannot figure out why my MK and HP register HK. My HK doesn’t register anything. I’ve checked the wiring four times now and am still lost. Any suggestions on troubleshooting? I know I’ve correctly threaded to 3k, 2k, and 3p.
All of the other buttons work perfectly fine though.
Are you testing with it plugged into a PC using the control panel applet? Some good photos of your wiring job would help.
I’ve only tried it with the PS3 and Street fighter hd remix. Hopefully they are clear enough. Let me know if you need any other pictures. My camera isn’t the greatest for up close pictures.

Wiring looks fine. Now try it on a PC in the control panel applet and see how it behaves.
OMG! I’m such a noob and deserve to be banned. The problem was that I was playing on a SC4 stick and didn’t change the button mapping for ST Remix. The control panel applet showed the buttons working fine. I didn’t even think of the control panel applet.
Thank you so much. I will have to clean up the wiring a little bit though.
Feel free to flame…
I figured it would be the button assignments, but some peeps get upset when you suggest stuff like that. Glad to hear you got it working.
