I don’t blame you a bit for hating cosplayers, there’s quite a few I can’t stand myself.
Furries are the worst though.
YOU ARE NOT A FUCKING WOLF, AND YOUR MASCOT COSTUME LOOKS FUCKING RIDICULOUS, IT LOOKS NOTHING LIKE AN ACTUAL WOLF, AND IF YOU WANT TO BE A FUCKING CARTOON CHARACTER, THEN DON’T BITCH WHEN YOU DIE FROM ME DROPPING AN ANVIL ON YOUR HEAD.
These are all really nice BTW! :clapdos: Didn’t get around to looking at them before.
Contest going for you to win tickets for the San Diego Comic Con in 2010! I always enter these things, ditto for contests to go to E3. I never win though… Well if you enter than good luck!
This sketch FINALLY came in the male. Venom’s tongue on my sketch is too small for my tastes but Spider-Man’s eye is HUGE so I’m happy about that. Not bad for only 20 buchs heh! I’ll toss up a scan in a few days.
Looking forward to the NY Anime Festival at the end of this month. Yoshiyuki Tomino, the creator of Gundam is coming this year! Can’t wait! :clapdos:
Great news! The New York Comic Con and New York Anime Festival will take place at the same exact time and the same exact place next year! So I will only go to one convention next year instead of two!
This year’s NY Anime Festival is only a few weeks away! Looking forward to seeing Yoshiyuki Tomino, the creator of Gundam!
What do you mean, like selling comics? As in, walking around and selling stuff to people? No, if they catch you doing it they’ll toss you out.
Unless you buy a table (at most cons they go for about 200 dollars and up, sometimes more sometimes less) and sit there the entire time. And they make you fill out a tax form prior sometimes which, is good and bad depending on how you look at it.
Ebay is still your friend unless your only purpose for going to the con is to unload stuff.
yeah, bringing in comics to sell, even if it’s a high-dollar book, is a bad idea.
I didn’t know that my first con, when I sold Hulk 181. None of the dealers was willing to give me a fair price for it over the table, because of the risk.
after hours I managed to negotiate a price that ended up buying me my first car.
but I think he’s talking about GRADED comics, and if so, CGC is usually on-hand for grading service. At least at all the cons I go to they’re there.
This is good revenue for them, because they have an ‘official’ on site to witness creator signings, for their “Signature Series”.
now, make sure you get the official to witness the actual signing, as that’s the only way they can actually verify it. Just because a creator is at the particular show is not enough evidence that the signature is genuine.
I tried to get my Signed COIE books graded as “Signature Series” but since they didn’t witness it, they wouldn’t accept them as genuine, despite the fact that I have photographic evidence of it happening.
