Which is why I started looking to other games to play and why this thread has slowly died. No one here was surprised. Activision is too greedy and they pulled a George Lucas.
theres nothing wrong with adding things to MWR. youre a moron if you thought they were gonna port it and leave it the broken mess it was and not add things to it.
There’s plenty wrong to adding things to a game that’s just supposed to be a remaster.
At the same time, absolutely no one thought they’d ever actually leave it alone the whole time.
Expecting stupidity doesn’t excuse it however, otherwise people would actually like you for instance.
I’m in the “meh” camp on this. Not excited, but not at wits end either.
I do want this whole Supply Drop system to go away though. It’s such an obvious cancerous cash grab at this point. Even when it’s not that bad (like in MWR/IW), that feeling that they’re tapping your pockets to see what you’re willing to give up is still there.
Realistically though, can we EVER expect this shit to go away now? What would it take? It’s weird; I think if sales were to go down shockingly on the next Call of Duty, they’d only get MORE aggressive with it.
As I said, they pulled a George Lucas and added things when the movie (and in this case game) was already fine as is. The issue is when you say one thing and then do another. That is why people are pissed. It’s like going back into MvC2 and adding shit without it actually benefitting anything. if you’re going to do that why not just make a whole new game? MW1.5? 2.5?
This would all be forgiven if they made the chance to get weapons at least be somewhat reasonable. I looked over all the stuff needed to gain the weapons, it’s worse than AW/Bo3/IW.
A lot are. Again if they just gave us the guns, then the issues wouldn’t even be there. The in game new AR is the FAL pulled in from the campaign so I get that this was already in, the other two were pulled in from other games that Raven already had a hand in. As I said above, if they just admire they’re remaking the games with new content then you already know what is happening.
At this rate, they should just use MW2 as a base and make a 2.5 and just and rebalance the damn game. Make them based on scorestreaks, add in variants, re-balance perks while we’re at it. Essentially CoD:Online that china has and call it a day.
they admit they didn’t sell as well as they hoped. Looking back, the game can still keep the space theme but if it just fixed everything else, they could have had semi decent game.

I don’t blame him. Infinity Ward lied to his face, which of course wrecks his own credibility when he reports what turns out to be facetious information. And while I’m in no way a fan of Youtubers doing it as a business, I have to look at it objectively for those who do. Basically he either has to look like a complete hypocrite by continuing to play these newer games for content, play the older games for content and hope people stay around, or completely change his content altogether which can be an immense risk to those with a dedicated fan base.
Pretty sure that Raven Software or whatever handled MWR.

How do you guys feel about this? I liked the Boost movement in BO3 the same as BOTG, so it doesn’t matter to me.
Sledgehammer will still screw up Boots on the Ground. Even if you ignored Exo Suit movement, AW wasn’t that good. Gun looks and sounds were lame, and only a few guns were viable. Killstreaks were weak unless you modded them. Maps were dull. Then there was the introduction of Supply Drops (which will now be in the game forever). That’s just what I remember; I took the game back about 2 months into having it. People are jumping for joy over this shit, but forgetting that it’s still Sledgehammer.
A just want an updated MW2 with some select few things taken from some of the newer games.
