I will admit I don’t really like IW all that much anymore & felt like alot stuff they were doing was all them. I never thought that it was Activision who was pulling on the strings in background, especially after what I see what is happening to Treyarch…
I am also in the camp of not paying 90 dollars to buy the new COD just to get COD 4 remastered with half the maps it used to have and probably half the guns as well.
The time they spent remastering MW1 is time they could have used to make the next game good. Wasted effort in the poor attempt to garner sales and bring back older fans. I’ll watch from afar as to what was updated if anything. Funny that MW1 is getting more attention than the main game itself. I’ll stick to BO3…
I am all for a COD4 remaster but release it on its own in full, it is ridiculous when you consider you can buy it on steam for like 15 bucks with all the content. Don’t use it to prop up your new game and then cut out dlc to sell later because you have no faith in your new IP.
All they needed to do is mesh MW1 and MW2 together rebalance perks, guns, streaks and call it a day. Sell for a discount 40 bucks and 20 for a “DLC pass” then call it a day. DLC camos/voices/skins can be in supply drops as well as new guns since Activision will force it but add the option to buy them at any time for extra cash. Done.
Forget even doing a whole new game. Just focus all efforts on remaking what made them so big on consoles.

Apparently Legacy edition is $80 in Murrica dollars. I’ll just find somebody to go in half on with me. They can get the trash new game while I get the old hotness of COD4
Can I just game share the remaster? That is all I really care about, and I can’t believe they don’t include all the maps. Well I can, but still.
Garbage. Seriously, CoD has been garbage for so long that it rightfully fits the meme of being attractive only to 11 year olds. CoD4 and WaW were probably the most enjoyable ones, which makes sense that they are remaking Modern Warfare. After that, it was a horrible downwards spiral into junk.

No thanks on playing COD4. I played that a shit ton of times to the point I don’t want to play it again. I don’t want to play an ancient and dead game like COD4. Give me something fresh dammit. BO3 was a good breath of fresh air and I still enjoy playing it today. IW better not suck or else I’ll go back to playing BO3 for 2016-2017. 
A friend of mine theorized that Activision would sell the rest for a price. I seriously hope that doesn’t happen.
Ok lets do the math.
CoD4 had 16 maps + 4 DLC Maps = 20 maps as a whole
CoD4 Remastered will have 10 maps + 10 maps possibly being DLC. Meaning that 6 OF THE ORIGINAL COD4 MAPS THAT WAS ON THE DISC TO BEGIN WITH WILL BE RESOLD AS DLCs…
WHAT. THE. FUCK!

Watched the trailer, it looks like like an IW game that’s for sure. If it’ll have space battles in ships ala Battlefield vehicles than that’ll be big. Knowing these games though it will probably be just a killstreak.
Oh they will have DLC for both I am sure and they will put crates into COD4 even though everyone fucking hates them.

Apparently Crash, Backlot, and Crossfire are 3 of the 10 MP maps. The rest havent been announced yet. If Overgrown, District, and Showdown arent among those I wont even bother.
I honestly could give a fuck about COD4 at this point, that shit is too old and plain for my taste.

Modern military stuff is so… plain… so lacking in potential, so limited feeling…
A nice middle ground below Titan-Fall but above Modern Warfare is great and I wouldn’t mind COD sitting there for as long as possible.
I’m sure it’ll play fine. Despite all the stupid shit surrounding MW3 and Ghosts I still had fun playing them. Because COD isn’t some complex series with an intricate balance that can be horribly upset.
As long as the core is the same it’s pretty much going to enjoyable, no matter what peripherals they add be it Exo suits or specialists or space ships.
I think people overthink and over expect with these games every damn year and they keep saying the same BS every cycle since COD4 with slightly different words. It’s such a sad loop to watch from the outside.

Come on now man. It is more grounded as it was the “Modern” warfare of 2007-ish time period, but it was all around a solid game. Outside of Shipment there werent any bad maps either. Because Infinity Ward was able to design maps before MW3.
