Could Kill helps against armored foes and it unlocks earlier. It just seems like a “meh” ability Helios can set people in fire before then anyways. Maybe it’s cause I play a more cautious style. I’m too busy enjoying Reaper to care…
…then again I have 3 points invested into mind’s eye so I can melee things like Larval Varkids and not care.
The Warden gave me problems on round 2 too. I was lucky to have picked up an electric launcher, because the gun I normally use to kill shields was not cutting it. It was building loaders too fast for me to bring down the shields with a normal gun. After the shield was down it was much easier.
Sorry, what I mean by piercing is an attack that will go through the target and hit anyone behind the target. Like the Magnum in GoldenEye 64 or the Rianov-5 in PSO.
The Assassin class has a skill called “bore” that makes all your shots pierce. I dont know of any guns that over penetrate on their own. Maybe those E-tech snipers that act like rail guns do, but I have not come across one yet.
I’m pretty sure the e-tech snipers don’t pierce. I’ve used several before and am using one now. Could be wrong; usually I’m aiming for heads and those don’t often have another body behind them.
Played online for the first time with some randoms.
Was pretty cool, except for the jackass that kept running ahead to loot chests and getting killed all the time.
haha, playing with a level 50 friend is a cool way to power-level a new character. I did that yesterday…my Zer0 went from level 10 to level 22 in no time… I think my character was getting exp even without “tagging” an enemy before it got killed by my friend… getting several hundred to occasional 1000+ exp off each enemy… and of course it makes money into a non-issue, since anything I picked up in his game is worth at least $10,000 and up. Of course, anything I shot… my character was only doing 1 or 2 points of damage to it…got excited when I hit double-digits on “critical” shots Oh yeah and this character is sitting on about $300,000+ now from all the high-level loot I sold.
My gunzerker is level 25 or 26, the old-fashioned “legit” way.
my lv 30 conference call held up for me until about now, lv 39, i’m at the warden fight. it starts lacking when you have to fight the (armored) bots, pretty logically enough.
of course i was running a 1000ish capacity Bee which boosted its damage significantly.
conference call is also amazing against the warrior itself, did that to farm eridium and bought out the black market with all that eridium (and i’m capped again)
im pretty sure the only place to spend eridium now is terra
I think it’s kinda strange that they’re going to nerf it, in a game where I can do some modding and have (and use publicly) stuff waaaaay more broken than the bee.
On the other hand, I can’t see it being an intentional inclusion. When my buffs are active, I do 4.7mil DPS with this … and that’s before crits/slag. I can solo Terramorphous with almost no problem … in a party of 3, with 2 bees, Terra was a joke.
But if they’re going to nerf the Bee – essentially making endgame harder – I hope they bump up drop quality to compensate. Beating Terra only to walk away with a couple so-so pistols ain’t gonna fly if I have to bust my ass for it.
