How do you find out about built in hidden abilities?

I just tried out the gun, and I noticed that anything I hit was transferring life back to me. You never know what a gun can do until you use it.
I used one of the golden keys and picked up a Lv. 36 launcher that does over 50k damage. Pretty insane.
Also, after farming The Warrior until after 2:00 a.m. last night, and getting absolutely fuck-all to show for it, I think I am done with the game, and moving on.
Especially with the talk of nerfs, resulting from all of the whining MMO retards on the forums who cannot wrap their teensy tiny head-sphincter breathing minds around the concept that Not All Games With Purple Items Has Needs Nerfs.
Seriously - fuck those guys.
And fuck Gearbox, if they go ahead and succumb to the whine like bitches in Napa Valley.
All of the other limitations, like stash size, are bad enough.
The drop rate is unforgivingly nil, and nigh unforgivable, when compared with BL1.
And now you are going to consider nerfing things?
In a PC moddable game?
Where Xbots already have retard strong hacks?
I swear, the drop rate is directly proportionate to the amount of intelligent thought that went into designing it.

It’s a good pick me up (pun intended) for when you get downed on solo play. At least that’s how I see it.
That’s probably the effect of the red text, since that’s how it worked in BL1.
I just teched to Slag turret this is my current build:
http://talent.87bazillion.com/2/commando.php?50055110000000000000001000000000[/URL#none
I went survival tree first, then went 50/50 gunpowder, and slag turret is too fucking good. It slags then hits with rockets, decimates level 50 elites like they aren’t shit. I may tech to nuke after they increase the level cap. Also, b/c the damage output of the turret is so high, it never drops below 50% health, even against tough enemies. I have a Sentry engineer mod that boosts my cooldown to 30% and boosts sentry to 8, so the turret stays out for 16 extra seconds. Pretty soon I am starting character 2, probably a gunzerker. If you play on a team, gunzerker is probably the best teammate for commando, my friend has a fire/slag combo gun in one hand and a corrosive shotty in the other. I use acid/fire/explode weapons so literally we stack 4-5 elemental types on bosses simultaneously. It gets really ridiculous.
PS Double Up also doubles rockets…True Story.
All things must come to pass.
From those who use it, does it really trivialize the content? That’s my only reason I can see for it being nerfed. For something to be nerfed in a PvE game, it has to undo everything the developers set out. In other words, be really, really, really broken.
It trivialized bosses. I don’t even have the best gun (just some generic jakobs shotgun with 16 pellets) and I can kill the Warrior before the cooldown on my Turret is back up. But against regular enemies, it’s mostly overkill
thats why I want to use it while I can
No - it did not trivialize the content at all.
This nerf trivializes the content.
Oh, well.
I am SO glad that I did not buy the Season’s Pass for either version of BL2 that I bought.
Because, after this announcement, I am done with this game, now.
And I won’t be giving Gearbox another cent ever.
I’ll go out of my way to get people NOT to buy their games from now on too.
Go fuck yourself, with yourself, Pitchfork.
That seems like a harsh overreaction to a nerf that we do not know the extent of, doesn’t it? And if your initial kneejerk reaction to a single item being nerfed, one that completely trivializes all bosses in the game, is to hate the game, tell people to hate them and then never buy another game from the company again? Well, that’s on you, mate. I must say I’m sorry to hear that one item being toned down is enough to ruin your experience, I hope whatever greener pastures you find yourself in allow you to indulge in whatever pre-nerf Bee gives you.
It still doesn’t make it worth investing points in, by that logic “Immolate” is good cause you “sometimes you into FFYL.” That, BP, and possibly Backdraft are her weak skills in that tree.
LOL@Overreactions to nerfing something that was silly powerful XD Glad I never cared enough to farm it and found a decent Amp shield in a chest.
Blue ball comes slowly.
I think they’ll drop the bonus damage to about 10-20k, and it will still be the best boss farming tool without being miles and miles ahead
Blight Phoenix is so good, if you kill one guy and anyone is around him it automatically poisons them and puts them on fire.
Basically what happens is you put one of the stronger shield guys in Phaselock with Ruin automatically dumping all kinds of elemental damage onto anything nearby. Then you pop the head off one of the weaker enemies and it basically doubles down on the elemental damage and sets everything ablaze.
Yeah, I love Blight Phoenix. Everything around you just dies. It keeps all the “swarm/rush down” enemies like Psychos and Varkids in check. Especially those Armored Psychos that are very common in TVHM. It’s also helpful when you’re in a situation where you’re over leveled and/or power leveling a low lvl friend, and just want to run through an area quickly.
As for the Bee getting nerfed. I don’t really care. I only used it to farm the Warrior for Eridium, so I could max out all my ammo types.
Are there any piercing weapons? I love weapons that pierce in any game I play.
I have a pistol that shoots darts that stick, then explode. I haven’t seen anything like a nail gun, or that steak gun from Painkiller though.
For those who never played Painkiller

“Pink” or E-Tech weapons shoot dart-like thingies that explode.
the fact that the bee is getting nerfed is a little disheartening seeing as i haven’t gotten to lv 50 yet and i haven’t gotten to fight terramorphous and farm and do all the things i wanted to yet
lame
so far my experience with e tech:
pistol: usually called a dart - i’ve had one dart that stuck + exploded, hte other bounced off surfaces
sniper: i forgot the name, but they shoot railgun beams
shotgun: pretty terrible, called splattergun. shoots a grenadey thing that bounces and makes more explosions. too hard to aim.
E-tech rocket launchers shoot a plasma ball that seems to damage enemies not within the blast radius (there was some blue sphere effect around an enemy who was next to me and not next to the clump of robots I was aiming at), though I can’t be sure if that. It didn’t seem different compared to normal ones.
E-tech assault rifles shoot rapid fire beams. Not sure if there are any variations, though I got an assload of them from the key chest, might have to mess with them.
Speaking of which, I got another, even better shock smg from the key chest, but this time it was a Tediore. Would like it to be a Maliwan with corrode, but beggars can’t be choosers. Far better than the Hyperion.
I have an E-tech pistol that fires homing bullets that explode. It’s called Twin Dahlminator, also does corrosive. It makes killing those repair drones a piece of cake.
