The Official Borderlands 2 Thread: Wub wub

Fired up my Gunzerker again. I’m going for pure weapon damage with less reliance on his action skill, only using it when I feel the need. It’s mostly Gunlust+Rampage with one thing from the Tank tree.

Randy said Shottys are getting nerfed on his Twitter?

Jesus man, soloing shit is going to get a hell of a lot harder now.

I assume shotgun falloff damage or something of the sort will be tweaked, seeing as that goes hand-in-hand with The Bee.

He also said the upside is not getting nerfed, but that the downside is getting buffed (or at least that’s implied). “Also, shottys…” is very cryptic.

Had fun playing with King and Kooper. Shit got intense in some areas, yeesh.

Got hella skins from completing a buncha badass challenges. Kinda want more heads though…

sheeeit, I’ve only found 1 or 2 shotguns that are worth a damn, actually… most of them have such a pitifully small magazine that I’ve given up on them for now… I get tired of having to reload after shooting once or twice.

Ah, if only I could restart this weekend…rewind things back to Friday night so I could continue playing non-stop. I need to get some more power-leveling in.

“Statuesque”-- that side-mission is surprisingly easy to fail. It involves protecting a certain Constructor that’s on your side…not so easy when there’s enemies swarming in from all sides, constantly attacking the thing. If I recall, the recommended level for that was 21, and I just now beat the mission with a level 28 Gunzerker…and the friendly Constructor was just barely alive/functional at the end of all that chaos. There’s a customization head reward for it.
Anyway, my 3-character line-up now is:
Sal = level 28
Zero = level 22
A relatively fresh-meat Axton = 11.

I’m so addicted to this… I actually want to take a day off work just to play that much more of it…all day.

It’s hard to get good loot for me. I’m level 38 on the second playthrough and the only place I can get anything worth a sack of goat shit from is from Michael.
The slots were so much better on the first run. Now it seems that I only get useless cash drops and buzzer sounds. Enemies don’t drop anything worthwhile and red chests are too far inbetween.

Online co op? No thanks. I feel like I’m playing Mario Party. Its a race to see who can be the biggest douchebag in the shortest amount of time.

@Million I know the feeling. I took a day off class the first week it was out to play. Or slept in cause I played all night.

Now that Pokemon B&W2 is out, I’ll have something to play in between.

@Black_Jaguar I only play with friends. People always complain about randoms rushing to loot. I don’t even wanna be bothered with dickheads.

Man this. I’m to level 18 with only 4 heads still. I’m bored of them.

Best method for farming the Warrior is to die after you “kill” it but before you call for a moonshot. Just CTRL+ALT+DEL out of the game (and restart Steam if need be) and you’re back where you need to be.

Yeah, but Cloud Kill takes care of the armored bots for awhile.

I couldn’t complete that until I got the Bee.

A friend and I boosted another friend from Lv.1 to Lv.12 in a matter of about 15 minutes, including downtime. Was kind of fun.

I think I’ll start a Salvador alt now.

Think my characters are:

Gunzerker: 36.
Siren: 31.
Assassin: 24
Commando: 18

Think I will keep the Commando low for Mechromancer week, where everyone will play said character to death.

Got my Siren up to 21. Games damn fun. Really diggin it.

Add me on psn someone tr4gicli0n_

Gunzerker lvl 35
Siren lvl 31
Commando lvl 22
Assassin lvl 7

Seriously digging the commando now. Got 5 bee shields, a conference call, and this pretty nice shield called the Neogenator from the monster mash part 3 mission (the final monster). It regenerates health for every hit you make on an enemy but it has low capacity like the bee shield.

Pt.2

Kids dese days.

I’m feeling how AFB felt when he started Zerker. Gunzerking feels kind of awkward and underwhelming, though I’m only Lv.6 and haven’t even killed Boom Bewm yet. I’m sure it feels great with two high-capacity, high fire rate weapons and talents invested into it. It ain’t no Brick, but it will fill its own role just fine.

her eyes are so kawaii desune

i want to see how often i can phaselock with ruin. time to research

my gunzerker at lvl 34 has near unlimited everything. its fun between level 20 - late 20s, but gets kind of boring by 30. my favorite set up would be dual SMGs and the skill that lets you cool down while gunserking per shot. by the time your skill is done, you have another waiting for you.

i moved onto commando, hated it up till about lvl 30. now i prefer playing him all the time. more tactical and less wreckless.

okay i think you can get ruin, and 4 points put into quicken. i wonder if there are class mods that boost quicken… otherwise the Binder set of class mods i do know reduce cooldown.

also, i didn’t understand it but tediore guns actually use all the ammo left in the clip if you reload without using all the bullets, in exchange for all dat damage. tediore + the bee is like ridiculously strong, but you burn through bullets like crazy.

My chars:

Maya: Lvl 47
Axton: Lvl 31(?)
Salvador: Lvl 13

The Mechromancer tree is up: http://www.borderlands2.com/us/skilltree/mechromancer.html

Umm… Why would I invest points into her 3rd tree lol. That stuff seemed dumb as hell. All those skill bonuses have some dumb side effect to go with it. I don’t feel like any other character gets hendered by their abilities like the mechromancer at all. Still will try her out and find out for myself.
