5 frame cr.HP start up? That’s way too good. It’s 12 frame start up right now, taking it down to even 8 frame is already amazing. Bringing it to 5 frame would match it to his jab which is kind of overboard.

Guile’s cr.HP is 5, Sakura’s cr.HP is 4, Boxer’s cr.HP is 7, Akuma’s cr.HP is 6.

all he needs is a FADC to ultra really. I think that could be fixed with an engine change. Make it to where if you fadc you can charge partition or just flat out keep a charge throughout the dash.

Wow. I’m so glad none of the high tier arcade characters have a 4 frame c.fierce. I already have trouble with Guile’s.

Imagine someone like Sagat with a 4F c.fierce… it’ll be CvS2 all over again.

Ryu’s c.hp has 4 frame startup. That’s doesn’t really make him OP though, because in terms of AA, a move really only needs to be fast enough to do on reaction.

The hitbox is much more important, and maybe the number of active frames. Ryu’s and Sakura’s are so fast only because they’re probably meant to be used in combos.

this is what makes guile’s c.hp so godly, whereas you don’t see the same issue with shotos or sakura

I hate it. Fighting a really good Guile is like trying to run up a vertical wall.

How about 5 frames? It’s just ridiculous that you can successfully predict another person’s actions, TP behind them, and then get hit by them even though they should be the one recovering. In addition, the TP motion is so similar to the Ultra motion (due to shortcuts) that a TP will literally lose you the game even if you’re countering a whiffed ultra.

EDIT: Also, I think Bison should have MORE shenanigans, because that’s (supposedly) a part of his game with Teleports, DRs, Headstomps, and Dash-Throws. He seems like one who is defined as a character that always keeps the other person guessing.

Just a little more damage on BnB, and a comboable ultra. Oh and PLEASE take out the fucking shortcut that gives you teleport instead of ultra.

What’s wrong with the damage on his BnB combos??? If your links aren’t blocked they deal pretty nice damage if it’s not the cr.LK links.

Yeah, decent damage. I just eat a ton of akuma/sagat bnb…and as you know massive damage. My actual complaint would be more like what you said on the last part there… c.lk x3 into sk could do more and not break the game.

The most important thing Bison needs is the PSYCHO CRUSHER voice sample from CvS1 and 2.

And well…if we get that, might as well make PC a bit more useful.

c.lk is linkable to s.lk, c.mk xx hk scissors. That’s prob the damage you’re looking for, it’s a 1-frame link though. I plan on using this as my bnb as soon as my stick arrives.

I try and stay away from 1 frame links as much as possible, especially when I’m not on a life lead or the situation doesn’t favor me if I fuck up.

As good as you are/might be with it, some times it’s just not worth the risk that take. If I’m on a life lead and confident I can take the match, sure I go crazy and try all kinds of 1 frame links; s.fierce, s.short, s.roundhouse comes to mind immediately… hard ass link to do. But flashy as hell.

I can’t do 1-frame links reliably online, yet. But I can do 2-frame links pretty consistently. So when I finally get a stick, I’ll be able to plink and turn the 1-frame into a 2-frame link, voila :smokin:

A simple and somewhat irrelevant thing they should change is Bison’s stun count. Just make it a 1000, I don’t see any reason for it to be 950.

Bison’s teleport can already be used like that. If your opponent whiffs something big, you can avoid it completely and punish, e.g. Chun’s EX-SBK.

Cutting the recovery by 5 frames would give Bison the fastest teleport in the game save Dhalsim’s Kick teleport, which Dhalsim needs imo because he’s much slower than Bison.

I’ll admit I can’t really come up with anything specific, but Bison is the only average-lifed, non-runaway character in the game with a teleport. To make it the fastest one in the game just seems wrong.

No more Ex-HS losing to shoryu…
