i think the guns and shit are fine

its just the damned flashlight and ir scope working so well in broad daylight that i have a problem with

faced my first really good chopper pilot. dude went like 55-3. only thing that would get him killed is if i stuck out a soflam and i had a dude ready with a javelin

and the thing was he would find my soflams within seconds of me putting them down. shit was unreal

Using the soflam is the equivalent of shining a laser sight at the pilot. I used it against a tank and within 10 seconds it started shooting it knowing exactly where it was. Though it was so far away he couldn’t get a clean shot.

I need to test if I can use flares as gunner as well as the pilot. Or if both have stealth does it stack. Also, I got a friend request for flying a chopper and mail from someone else. They go 9-0 shooting while I get maybe 5 kills flying them around. I’m glad they at least made chopper damage higher against infantry. Get about 5 hit markers with missiles before they drop sometimes more.

^^thats good shit. the problem is having aware enough team mates to use guided missles.

but like dude in the vid said, as the game goes on more people will pick up on it

SOFLAM works with ANYTHING that has a guided weaponry.

-Javelin
-Guided Missiles
-Heat Seekers
-Stingers

I think it’s only significant with the Javelin that it will do the top-down attack and ignore flares ala Call Of Duty.

Waiting on the console update. Logged on and got shot down by 1 stinger missile. I hope they do just a smaller amount of damage that it doesn’t cause a fire immediately.

Man, I’m so freaking terrible at this game. I need to play more so I can learn the maps. I never have any clue where to go or where I’m being shot from.

Don’t SOFLAM also show up on air radar like spawn points and T-UGS units?

I find the problem is that recon rarely put up a SOFLAM and nobody seems to want to use a laser painter. I’ve had very few games where I’ve actually had designated targets, so I don’t often take a Javelin. I also find that when I’m using a CITV station, nobody is taking advantage of when I paint out targets. Most engineers seem to take RPG rockets so they can point and shoot quickly - usually at infantry.

Notes from that site:

-There is a silencer bug that makes some weapons show up on the minimap even when using a silencer.
Following weapons are bugged:
M16A3, M16A4, A-91, M4A1, M4, SCAR-H, SG553, G36c, M27 IAR, RPK-74M, M240B, M60E4, TYPE 88, PP2000, UMP-45, MP7, PDW-R, AS VAL Rest are not.

-F2000 has high minimum spread when standing, but while moving its more accurate than any other assault rifle.
M16AX has lowest reload times.
AEK-971 has higest fire rate which makes it to have the best time to kill at any range.
AN-94 has huge recoil, but small first shot recoil multiplier. 2nd shot is more accurate than on most of the other assault rifles.

-M4 has lowest reload times.
AKS-74u and G36C have a bit lower first shot recoil multiplier what makes them slightly better for firing in bursts.

-PKP has 1.0 maximum spread when aiming down the sight and not moving while all the other machine guns have 3.0.

I assume it has a spread value of 1 (low) compared to every other LMG which have 3 (high). AKA it’s more accurate when spraying. I think.

That should be obvious by the bright red damage-indicators on the specific sides of your screen, and then

So many fuckups in the code in this game, and even without the hard data on-paper, it’s blatantly obvious when
playing. DICE, please hurry up and kick EA, SONY’s, MS’s ass into gear to get these patches rolled out.

if you go to the site it has a description.

it says that the lower the value, the more accurate the weapon

the number is a representation of how far off your next shot is away from the previous. however in this case, i think it only counts for the first 2 shots in a burst. theres a separate increment value for longer bursts

so a 3 is a wider spread of shot grouping than a 1

edit-okay i dug a little deeper. if im reading it correctly, the 3/1 in this particular case is a modifier that gets applied to the guns particular spread incriment. theres different values to apply to the increment dependant on what you are doing while shooting(ADS, hip fire, standing, crouching, prone, or moving)

for this example its standing stationary ADS. the PKP has a modifier of (0.08)x1.0. all others have a modifier of (?)x3.0.
