i think it was 07…i just remember nadal hadnt gotten #1 spot yet. i just remember a random scrub beat him, jockabitch and nadal beat him that year. and stifler was still crying somewhere cuz he still had nadal whooping ass.
Federer had Mono, or was getting over it in the beginning of 08. That was when the Aussie open was between Djok and Tsonga.
Then at Wimbledon was when Nadal took the number 1 spot
del potro with the gdlk forehand, dude deserved that shit, fed didnt have no answer for it
gs del po… LoL at when somebody just didn’t stand the noisy crowd and shouted “would stfu!!” at someone…
exactly. its not everyday you can battle trough 2 weeks of tennis to finally face number one and number two in the world and beat them both in back to back days. no i dont consider murray better than nadal.

“these tennis guys are arrogant and have no respect. this guy should apologize for being so rude”
Dude that is a very mild outburst. He’s not even threatening the umpire. And it’s true DelPo takes forever to challenge. Federer hates the challenge system. He mentioned it’s disgust at Wimbledon against Nadal.
I don’t give a shit at what he said is probably the least threatening outburst you can have. I just felt like he was venting his emotion. I mean that one forehand DelPo hit at 30 all. Looked wide to me. And with Hawkeye at like +/- 10mm making calls like that. It’s wrong sometimes.
If you do notice Federer always gives props to the other player, unlike a Serena who will say she had a bad day. One outburst in forever isn’t bad at all.
Crazy finals match
That is all
I was pulling for fed. I gotta say, He was looking good then it got worse and worse. It was a good match though. Just wish i could have seen it from the beginning, I saw it during the second set.
i missed the first set too. started during the first game of the second set. couldnt find which channel it was on. thought it would be on an espn but cbs was showing it.
fed outburst wasnt even that bad. plus dude shook his hand at him and told him to be quiet. and to be fair in feds defense that chair ump was pretty shitty.
boot serena.
“serena is a thug”
the only stat that needs to be looked at to tell who won the del po match is first serve %. i think fed was under 50% and still took it 5 sets…crazy
if fed’s serve is +70% he is unbeatable.
i also predicted nadal would get the shit beat out of him, he still uses too much spin on hardcourts and del po counters that shit with power and his reach/height. nadal healthy or not doesnt stand a chance against del po on hard courts.
the question is who is better the williams sisters or may-treanor and walsh.
both dominate like its nothing but i’d have to go with the sisters just because they’ve been doing it for so long and it just looks way too easy for them. plus mt and walsh lose points for letting shaq pressure them.
well see yall down under in 4 months
Far too long to wait for another major. :crybaby:
what i couldnt figure out was whether fed was having a bad serving day, or whether it was from the pressure of del potro’s return…apparently del potro during the WHOLE tournament had and 85% on returns…like the fool returned 85% of the serves hit at him…thats insane…so it could be that fed was feeling that pressure, cause in the 4th and 5th set del potro started attacking 2nd serves hardcore hitting 90mph + returns…like ok…so even if fed was serving well i dont know how much of a difference it would have made with del potros amazing return statistics…
im outi
Roberth
that could be part of it but what really baffles me is that fed kept hitting second serves to del po’s forehand. i have no idea why would he keep hitting to his most powerful shot every second serve. del po is a really good returner but he hadnt gone up against any real good servers. nadal and cilic arent very good servers and the way fed was serving he was actually doing worse than both of them.
yeah 4 month wait sucks. tennis channel has those smaller tourneys though if you got the tennis channel.
85% is pretty insane. hitting to his forehand is pretty retarded for the second serve. who knows what was up with fed. he did look rattled and looked like he just gave up in the final set.
Fed at 70% or even 65% first serves would have won that match in straight sets.
Yeah, the whole point of the first serve is not just to ace the other guy, but to force him to hit a bad shot and then finish off the point with the next few shots. That’s how serving and volleying works, the serve forces the opponent to block the ball back, which makes it easy to volley. Think of it like ryu’s fireball. If it hits, then cool, but it’s there to shut down their game and control the match, because ryu isn’t going to win just on damage from his fireball.
To play against someone like Federer you gotta keep him on defense for the whole point, or else you’ll be eating magic forehands and that stupid drop shot all day. Playing Federer when he isn’t consistent on the first serve is basically playing against a fireball-less ryu.
