even though he lost, roddick represented there.
omg I can’t stop thinking about the 2nd set with that moonball =\
Sampras looks like he wants to get his record back
epic. Not as epic as last year, but more drama
sucks for roddick, you could see the passion in his eyes when they zoomed in during fed’s speech. Poor guy (except that hes a millionaire and has a smoking wife).
I just hope nadal’s knees heal. tendenitis is pretty bad for a tennis player imo.
He would have beat these chumps imo
John Mac said Federer didnt look tired, we must have been watching 2 different matches
edit: This match (like last years match) makes me really want to get back into tennis.
Nadal must be grateful to have spoken to the Spanish goverment and agree to have faked his injury
No kidding. I haven’t played in years, and I just bought a racket last week.
man i cant believe that shit, i wanted rodick to win…oh well…maybe next time if there is a next time…
and rodick is way fitter than federer…

wow. this shit was gdlk. holy fuck. never in a million years would i think this would be as good as last year as stated above. i was wrong. i was rooting for roddick the whole time just expected fed to do what he does. stifler gets major respect for this today.

I’m a huge Federer fan but after seeing Roddick’s previous 3 runner ups and holding the plate of shame. I just can’t help but feel bad for the guy. I really like his new rededication if you will and his almost journeyman attitude.
I hope Roddick gets another some day. The post match stuff was just heartbreaking.
Sorry Pete, I tried to hold him off.
keep living in the past homie, what doesn’t kill us makes us stronger
lets see if Nadal makes it 15 by the time he retires let alone by the time he turns 27.
Oh and Fed Ex will make it 20 before he turns 30
Shit is rediculous, I expect Roddick to be HUNGRY come U.S. Open, I’m rootin for you
i dont get it, nadal is better than federer and you post that video??? lolol…
im outi
Roberth
lol stiffler is a beast. we all know he’s one of the nastiest tennis players to be born in the wrong era. this whole thread aknowledged his skills for the longest time and this just solidifies how scary he can be when he really wants to.
i am usually happy when fed wins but this final made me a roddick fan. this guy showed so much heart and passion and he took the defeat like man and even joked about it. hats off andy!
You shouldve already been a Roddick fan, imo
i know but i usually prefer the more elegant players. =P
i hope a-rod comes back strong for us open.
What a great final. I don’t like blow outs in championship matches and this final was beyond anything that the fans could have asked for. I’m really glad there is no 5th set tie-break.
Did anyone hear the ridiculous questions the reporters asked Roddick in the post interview on the SportsCenter recap at 12pm PST?
Reporter: Would you say that you just lost to the greatest player of all time?
Roddick: …Yes
Reporter: What happened there, at the end?
Roddick: I lost
Reporter: Do you think you can reflect on what you did right during the match and not be depressed?
Roddick: I don’t know. I’m not a psychic, I’m a tennis player.

Sometimes…most times, I really detest courtside and press conference reporters. What is the benefit of asking such questions with obvious answers other to irritate the player and attempt to stir up some controversial answer. I really give Roddick extra props for being able to field those asinine questions right after losing one of the most important match of his life.
If I hadn’t been a Roddick fan back in 2003, I would have never played competitive tennis. Especially my friends since they all had Babolat Pure Drives.
It’s outrageous that the players have to take questions as soon as they get off the court. I’m sure Roddick’s holding his emotions in, and frankly, I love his responses. Flipping the bird to the British media. If you saw how he broke down going up the stairs after beating Murray, you can’t help but sympathize with him. He wanted to quit tennis a few months back, and he was fortunate to have his wife supporting him. From the lowest of lows to pushing Fed 16-14 in the fifth set, A-Rod’s a true champ. C’mon Andy, get him in Queens.
