The Official 3rd Strike Match Vids Thread

2001 3s in Europe is frightening at times

I’m missing a few KSK GVision ranbat videos. Does anyone have a filefront page with the complete collection? MJ’s page is missing a few here and there.

shit was torture. >,< I know it was 2001, but got damn

Definitely reminds me of the good old days. Loud ass Dreamcast music…scrubby ass tactics…just played the game to have a good time. I thought I was so hot in 2001 when I could full parry Chun’s super on my Mad Catz Dream Pad in training mode. LOL. Fuck Daigo.

Here’s some very recent SBO’08 Qualifiers footage from Japan featuring Aruka, Eda, OUT, Thanatos, PinoAB7 and a bunch of other good players:

SBO’08 Amyujiamu Furukawa Arcade Qualifier

SBO’08 Area A-2 Qualifier

Enjoy! :woot:

Might wanna fix the links

Does anyone have that 3S combo/parry video from WAYYYYYYYYYYYYY back where the end of the video, Ryu throws a Denjin from a full screen away, and then Ken parries all of it, and taunts after?

I thought that was cool, back in the day.

Use this one if the links above don’t work:

yeah already found them just wanted to point this out (since I am not too familiar with Youtube)…thanks for posting/uploading…some really nice stuff there…
btw.: Pino’s Team did qualify even though they lost ?

Good stuff, Billy. Nice to see Aruka in action. Will this be Aruka’s team for SBO, also?

torrent is up too

that was definitely the best gvision ranbat in a looong time

Who’s the one playing red Dudley?

omfg that’ll teach dudley to try anti-air parry ryu in the last round ouch that hurt.

Yeah, that ranbat was stacked with big names… I feel bad for those two lesser known players in there. :looney:

Eda

first good ranbat in a long ass time

Yeah, best ranbat this year. I like KO, but I think he’s a front-runner. Only wins when he’s ahead.

QFT. now I seriously doubt KO’s ability as a clutch player when things don’t go his way. He may be the best 3rd strike player but he seems to choke during critical moments.

He doesnt seem to do well against Makoto. He was pretty clutch against Daigo in the Evo finals, so I wouldn’t say he chokes a lot

Doesn’t help that he’s playing Yang or playing against a character that will rape you if you are not ahead. KO is a great player but the nature of the character he uses will still come back to haunt him in certain matchups.

Spoiler

Hopefully these posts aren’t spoiling anything for anyone.

Roshi has the same problems against Makotos.
