well, letting the opponent get a free parry from a fireball isn’t really a big deal, especially because you know 99.9% of the time, the opponent will parry the fireball. knowing this, it can be useful for dashing and getting closer to your opponent (in a relatively safe way), because in the time it took for him to parry your fireball, you’ve already covered half the screen.
Except that the Necro in this video got hit by three fireballs in a row, so I’d say he was doing the right thing in this case. Sure a fireball is an easy parry, but a move like Necro’s b+Strong makes him a lot more vulnerable to getting hit by a fireball compared to something like Ryu’s crouching Strong.
And yeah, what aznflict said. Nobody throws out a regular fireball expecting to get big damage out of it (unless they’re Urien), but they’re not entirely useless parry-bait.

Did the Akuma player accidently pick sa2 in that match against Yang ?, I know he still won but am I missing something here ?. Is sa2 better against Yang like Alex is better off using Stungun Headbutt against Hugo ?.

To answer your question bout Akuma I dunno.
The fireball spamming from long range works fine vs Necro cuz he has a slowass/high/weirdangle jump and cannot reach and deal any damage to ryu from jumping over his fireballs at point blank, so basically he’s not risking anything with those repeated hadokens, he’s just keeping control of the space. I think Ruu [very good Ryu imo] is trying to use hadokens as a long range poke in this matchup and also trying to stop Necro from building meter [the other Ryu player in the vid actually landed 4 or 5 hadokens on Necro’s b+MP].

The cam footage is better to watch that particular match because you get to here the crowd noise/laughter and shit. Makes for better viewing.
On the DVD it’s a preliminary fight so there’s no noise just direct from video.

How big are we talking about? You can put something ~300 megs up on filefront, but if you mean DVD rips as in several gig ISO’s, then I have no idea.

there are seeds, it’s just takes a long-ass time for a few seeds to distribute a 4.3 gig file (unless they have kickass upload speeds). That’s just how torrents work. At the time of this writing almost everyone is at 26.2%.
