I wasnt expecting Shirotaichi to do that well in SBO, cause most of the time the good Makoto’s get merc’ed early on.
I read back some of my ‘blogs’ from Japan, and when I read up on the part where I described the 5 on 5 tourney at Sega Park - that was where I first discovered Shiroitachi, even though he’s been around a lot longer.
That night had pretty much all the top Japanese players and all the foreign players in one arcade playing each other in teams of 5. Some of you might remember my ecstacy at watching Georgia’s Ken OCV a team of 5 top Kens - Deshiken, Joe, Kashi, Souma and another good grey Ken player.
Anyways, the finals of that tournament was between two teams with the top top players like Nitto, KO, MOV, Mester, Spell J etc. The thing is - it was Shiroitachi’s Yun that did all the damage in that final and everyone was amazed at how good his Yun was. So I guess following on from that, I’m not too surprised at how well he did at SBO.
I’ve been looking for that Ken VS Ken X5 game on Youtube. Thought it was an official SBO game. Is there a video of it?
Just reading that post makes me wish that I was in Japan. :sad: I want to play the best of the best on a regular basis…
Korea definitely has better 3s competition than where I was in the US though no doubt about it!

I’ve seen that video a while ago already. That’s what I was expecting when I came here, competition at FFA level and beyond, but it’s just basically at my level and a little higher.
Naz I only remember in the final of that tourney that KO’s Yang completely cleaned up to win it? Or was that the semi final against the team of dudleys where he did that?

Shiroitachi was the hero cos I remember going back thinking that this shiroitachi is either hot shit or 3s is too random even for Japan.
