Some Urien vs Chun Li videos, me playing against my team mate.
It’s not that I don’t have enough personal interest in the game where I can’t survive without watching Japanese players, but that RX puts vids on a different level by himself. I just figured he may feel he maxed himself out at SBO then stopped. We all remember how he slaughtered fools with grace and charm this year. He’s one of those players that reminds you why we play the game. Personally I think RX disproves everything you just said. He did loads of new shit at SBO, 8 years after the game was released. He beat the characters “who perform the best at high level play.” Somehow he managed to do all that despite what we thought we knew. In a sea of events that makes the game seem so old and busted, RX made a difference. Sounds like a movie tagline almost.
RX isn’t just a player to me and possibly many other people. He represents the whole concept of playing with creativity, control, and style while still being able to win. Essentially the opposite of the winning formula for other typical tournament players.
Good luck making statements in tourneys while I sit here watching vids and being oblivious to tournament play myself.
You got no scene to go out to and play in tourneys? Do you even get on Kaillera? I remember seeing you place in some tourneys a while ago. That shows how much I’m following what everyone else is doing.
I mean…it’s not like I want to be the next Aruka or RX or nothing like that but I just have a thing for being competitive in the game. It’s fun meeting all the new people and like you said…overcoming what is already known as the “truth” about SF’s tournament play. Yeah…I’m sure one of if not THE first things people think of when they think of a 3S player that makes the game look interesting is RX. He always has something new up his sleeve and his gameplan isn’t to just do what everyone else does a little bit better.
Other than that…your post made me cry.
You’re pretty good, just work on that Aegis usage and stop doing LP fireball vs metered Chun.
It’s a great rush playing against Korea’s finest 3rd strike and CvS2 players…
are they the greatest Korean players… hmm. That’s what I heard from the people here, but if that’s the case I must be good because I’m actually contending with SOME of the players.
The other players just whip my ass so badly that they end up humiliating me by letting me have free hits.
Thanks for looking at this, and providing me with advice
I definitely need to stop LP Kill vs Sa’d Chun
Be careful with the tackles and c.hps. In the match i saw u did random c.hp 4 times on metered Chun. You also whiffed tackle short on her twice. These type of mistakes’ll cost u against a more experienced opponent.
That’s exactly what another player told me, I have many flaws in my attack
But I know that my friend (the Chun player) doesn’t punish a lot.
… that’s not a reason to random cr. HP
Thank you for your tips, I’ll use that next time
I think RX still plays although of course I wouldnt know to what extent . But at least he was in a 3on3 tournament in Club Sega Shinjuku about a month ago, (peaced out in semifinals I think) and unless I’m greatly mistaken he also competed in the latest cooperation cup held a few weeks ago, where I think he and his team reached the top 8 or perhaps even the top 4.
if you use your jump.roundhouse right , chun can’t punish it, even if she parries. sometimes i do a headbutt after i jump in and it gives my 3 tackles :lovin: figure out the range, or watch the fight between tokido urien and pierre chun
very agressive match, although a smarter chunli would have MK’d the shit out of that devil urien.
CB, can’t she punish the latest jump in RH with cr.lp into super?
I thought I saw that sometimes in some matches…
if that is true, urien is still safe out of cr.lp range though…
is that what you meant by figure out the range?
yes. you’ll see tokido use the right range in the first 3 times he jumpkicks.(3 for 3, lol)
finally…got my tougeki 07 dvd
tackle maeda vs pyrolee - best execution of keeper jin i’ve ever seen. awesome stuff.
also, did anyone realise that KOFiend almost beat the mighty nitto? could hardly believe it.
i so hope they include 3rd strike in next year’s SBO.
Thank you for taking the time to watch these vidz, and thank you for your useful advices.
I now understand why SRK is the best!
Have a nice holiday everyone
Some more matches from the master of scrubdom. Allthough i think its safe to say that ive come a long way since my first 3s vids.

caviddourt- hey could you send me my team’s matches or put it up somewhere, i really would like to see them. my aim is kofiend
Its kinda funny, anytime I saw Tackle Maeda play in casuals before SBO, he always messed up the keeper Jin combo somewhere along the line (but mostly at the end with the lunge punch), then he does it perfectly at SBO :annoy:
i’m sorry mate - to be perfectly honest, i wouldn’t even know how to do that. i’m not very tech savvy and the whole idea of ripping the dvd, compresssing the file and uploading it somewhere is beyond me.
well done, by the way on your efforts in that match against nitto. there was a while there that i thought he was almost unbeatable. he or his team won 3 gamersvision ranbats in a row (i think).
sorry again.
crap ok, thanks anyway
