Yes he OBVIOUSLY was playing like that intentionally, so I don’t know what everyone is getting all crazy about. As noted already, he isn’t like that in the couple other vids of him up. His real Ryu is actually pretty zzzzzz.
On a much better Ryu note, I was going through some old matches on my external HD and nearly forgot about Hirai playing some Ryu.

While getting my ass restructured I kept thinking that maybe this one of the top Ryu’s from Japan - couldnt guess who due to the insane rushdown style. Then when I finally beat him he switched to Ken…

The thought that people haven’t simply put the phrase “Hirai 3s” into a youtube search query tells me Daigo/KFG is too fucking popular. Hirai has one of the busiest, most intense Ken/Ryus I’m ever going to see. I like his ability to spam moves while simultaneously denying his opponent the right to use them.
My only problem (and it’s kinda small) is that against some of the top players (Not ?? Mcwhathisface) he seems a little lackluster (Pierre/Pierrot/Nuki). Although he whacked K.O, and slayed Messatsu. I just wish I’d see him rape more often.

Man, that ryu shoul’ve known that yun was canceling cmk into genei, i mean cmon it’s common sense, every yun player do that; EX srk was just a bad idea cuz he got the opening for a free punisher after the parry.
Yeah i 've watched your footage from japan naz! I think those Kens were srk/shyppu-ing you cuz that’s the best thing if they fear/know u’re gonna cancel your poke into tatsumakis 
or something, srk and shyppu works wonder for punishing blocked unsafe attacks and even after a parry they’re so fast u can’t cancel your previous move.

I didn’t think they were this GOOD. At first I was raping people, but then the heavy hitters came in and gave me a fun challenge. I’m actually contending with them so this will be interesting playing against them for a while.
It definitely out levels my arcade in the US by a lot and I’m tied (tied… LOL) for 3rd best in my area of GA; we have a lot of players in our region (not including ATL and shit lawlz… I’m still a scrub :sad: )
I feel pathetic even saying 3rd best. Overall: Korean scene is pretty damn good in 3s. Don’t get me started on the other FGs… (let’s just say they are dominating in those as well)
