Shit like that is what Tampa needs to actually win…
Still got the Saints but this shitty ass fuck start at least got a reset…
Either way I am cool if my Bucs lose and am watching it as such as this really is my favorite season ever(SB win included) win or lose… I don’t mind watching Brees vs Rodgers and even a final SB for Brees to go out with potentially 2 vs 1 super bowl wins vs KC or BUF…
Thanks for the great memories and career Drew… Seriously not once till that Winston TD have I hated or rooted against you or your team even if against mine (maybe a few times but not in hate)…
Seriously once Winston got that TD I no longer cared if the Saints won at all. I only cared if the Bucs won. Fuck Winston…
It might as well be. He doesn’t have the skill to be the reliable ace in the hole compared to years past anymore. He can’t throw it further than twenty yards and defenses know how to take advantage of that. Kamara has been the one to carry this team the past two seasons. When the Saints who were known purely as a pass team causes more fear from their run game that’s a sign Brees needs to hang it up.
If that’s not bad enough, the team will be at around 100 million over the cap for next season. That means they’re going to have to gut the team. Vets and well-loved players are going to end up leaving. Players such as Kamara, Ramczyk and Ceedy have their contracts coming up and with how essential they are to the team, they’re going to command a hefty price. It’s going to get ugly from a financial standpoint.
Thats not even the worst problem he has to worry about, either, because right on the nips of his heels is a man named Thomas Edward Brady. Brees prides himself on having nearly every QB record in the league. However Brady is on the verge to eclipse nearly all of them. He already has an eleven touchdown record for most all time. He’s only about a thousand yards short of taking the all-time yards record and he’s about forty away from the first downs record. At this point the only reason Bress is playing is to keep those records but at the rate things are going Brady will take those even if Brees played the same amount of years as he will.
This year was essentially Brees’ last shot at a title. If he didn’t get it done this time, he won’t ever get it again. He doesn’t have the skillset anymore, his weapons would be heavily depleted and he’d be running a futile race with Brady. So at this point the only logical step is to retire.
What the Saints have been the last 4 years has been truly dominate and its just unfortunate they have had the worst playoff experience in those 4 years. Peyton even with the 32nd worst cap team will build a roster who can not only win the division still but get a playoff spot and compete for sure…
Brees has NO reason to return and his career has been amazing to watch. I hope one day the Bucs have a real franchise QB who I could watch have 10+ years of success for my franchise. Best my Bucs have had is this 43 year old QB who is defying time.
Again thanks Drew for the memories… especially that SB win I still won’t forget…
I wasn’t sure if it’s ribs that were affecting his arm these last few weeks, or is his arm really just out of gas now and unable to make the deep throws?
I hope the Packers beat the Bucs, and it won’t be easy at all, then get to the Super Bowl and win another one, it has been 10 years since I was last cheering and screaming for joy here on SRK when the Packers last won, and Rodgers was just hitting his prime.
Let it happen please, #12 for the Green and Gold is way too damn great to have only one Super Bowl appearance, we here in Green Bay have been spoiled, going from Favre to Rodgers, but the most frustrating part of it all is that the damn organization has not utilized both the QBs potential by not giving them the weapons and the talent that they should have gotten.
I hope that 2021, the Packers finally pick up a damn wideout, since the last time the Packers did that in the first round was Javon Walker and that was 2002.
Here’s to this Sundays game, and the Pack getting the win.
