The Official 2020 NFL Thread: Buccaneers win Super Bowl 55

I’ll take that win…

Cmon man call the BS like its Trump… You know this was BS… Its a Bucs loss and on to Green Bay and they fucked themselves multiple times this game even with endless missing key players on offense but we gotta call these shitty ref games out… Seriously at least 5 terrible calls all against the Bucs which led to 17 points. Like not bad just plain shitty.

Bullshit call and all…

Holy shit Dak’s ankle looks fucked. :fearful:

There goes Dak’s chance at a long term big money contract.

I’m not a Cowboys fan but this moment got me. Fuck you Jerry Jones. Dak’s the best thing the Cowboys had going this season too. I hope Dak makes a full recovery.

God damn man as a WFT fan and Cowboys hater, I feel so bad for Dak man. That was just awful and you never want to see that. Damn that sucks for him :frowning:

A terrible thing for the guy who has already had such a rough year. Hope he comes back and Cowboy or not finds the success he deserves.

Dude has gone through enough. He lost his older brother in the worst way possible now this. I hope he has a full recovery. This sucks. Times like this you set the rivalry aside.

Was gonna swear off posting, but this deserves it. Fuck Jerry Jones. Dak has been nothing but a class act and did everything you can ask of not only a QB, but a man. He deserved to be paid. He should’ve been taken care of so if something like this happened he would be safely covered. They actively bet against him for two years, and now that punkass is going to try and lowball Dak again.

I truly hope he recovers completely. If he hasn’t torn any ligaments a full road to recovery will be likely. Hopefully he gets to go to an organization that truly wants him and covets his talent. Luckily there will be plenty of premium spots next year. Get well soon Dak.

I mean, didn’t HE turn down a $35 million/year offer? How is that not being taken care of?

Notice how we never hear any talk about the guarantees of the supposed “great offer from Jerry”?

As Saitsu stated, they never said what the guarantees were. Whenever a team touts the annual value of a contract and doesn’t mention the guarantees, that means the player is getting fucked.

Dak might actually find this a blessing as it will show how much the Cowboys really want him. I wish him all the best.

Also seeing Garrett go out and stand next to McCarthy was so cool to see. Shows the human side of it all…

Also Stephen Jones had come out publicly early on in negotiations and threw shade at Dak for not taking a discount. They never had any intention of paying him market value until they had the feet put to the fire of the deadline and even then they knew they had the Tag in the back pocket.

Either way it’s speculation.

True but when team has good deal and the player they truly feel the player is being unreasonable, they release details of the deal. When Steelers were having their spat with Le’Veon Bell, they put all the details out there. They felt their deal was fair and so they had nothing to hide in their view. Dallas just put vague numbers mostly through “unnamed” sources. Say what you will about Pete Carroll and Seattle but they took care of Russell Wilson.
