The only reason to keep him would be for the 2 Point Gadget plays but they already tried that in Green Bay and they were failures as it is. They’re not using him as a gadget player. They’re using him as a quarterback. They’ve made that clear.
I wouldn’t underestimate the money that guy can bring in, even with profit sharing.
Tebow can throw the ball, not always accurately but his release is quicker and his action better this year. He’s definitely better than your average running back at it even if he’s not a top tier quarterback at passing. Tebow was brought on-board for the run game to protect the starter on risky plays and that’s something he still brings to the side that Barkley doesn’t. Barkley is just another drop-back pocket passer that just happens to be not good enough to start in the NFL.

I honestly don’t think Tebow is as bad as you guys make him out to be. He’s not THAT bad of a QB. He did things in Denver man. How do people forget why he got famous. They had a RIDICULOUS receiving core but still. On that note… WTF is the NFL doing with these appeals. AP blatantly gets banned WAY longer for something he was cleared of less than half way through the season (not that it makes it right but still)… yet Brady and co. flat out cheat and yet he has his suspension removed almost immediately… The nfl is becoming such a big joke. If this wasn’t brady and the pats we were talking about, he would still be suspended.
The Fourth Down play probably saved Barkley from just outright losing the competition without Tebow having to do anything.
Barkley could get traded. The Cowboys could use a second string QB. The Browns could probably use him as well. Plus there is that theory I posted earlier about how he could be slotted in a package deal to the Redskins for RG3.

Which is why Goodell will be gone within the next year or two. He’s lost all his credibility and stature. We’re already hearing about guys about to go appeal after seeing that Brady won. That’s how it starts. His power has been disrupted and now players know they can beat Goodell’s punishments in court. He’s a complete joke at this point.
I said it weeks ago, this suspension hearing was less about actual football as the Pats were making the playoffs regardless, and more about Goodell keeping his job. Owners do not want a guy that has little strength and you know that quite a few owners were tired of this Pats bullshit continuing to come up. This was his chance to prove the Pats weren’t untouchable, he failed. Owners are gonna get rid of him. Kraft will do it out of vengeance, the rest will do it out of disgust and disapproval of his failure especially with the amount of money put into the investigation.
