The Office (US)

i’m not saying it wasn’t funny, it was. my fiance almost fell on the floor when angela smashed her ice cream into andy’s car door…but there was something off about it…even dwight seemed weird…

I liked it, although not the strongest episode it came back with some funny stuff.

Pam owning Jim and making him stay was the best.

…that went messed. Jim’s place burnt down and Mike wanted him to stay? :S Interesting episode regardless.

Ugly Betty + The Office + My Name Is Earl == Revielle company now owns my Thursdays with a icy Linda Lash whip.

Is it just me who sees a LITTLE tension going on between Jim and Pam? I forgot what happened in previous episodes (those many many months ago), but in this one, Jim was about to leave Pam. And yeah, that’s funny from our point of view. At first I thought Pam and Jim thought it was funny too. But Pam’s face as she’s making Jim stay looked pretty serious. In fact, she looked shocked and pissed that Jim would just up and go. Am I reading too much into this? Somebody please tell me I am.

i think you are…if they start focussing on these relationsips more than the office antics, i’m gonna be severely disapointed with the writers…

You’re reading too much into it. I thought that part was funny. The party was so painful and awkward that Jim was willing to ditch Pam to get out. And Pam owned Jim back by getting him to stay. She had kind of a “Nice try, Halpert but you’re not getting out of here that easy” smile on her face after. They’re both easygoing enough that they’re not going to let it cause too much trouble.

There does seem to be this feeling that now Jim and Pam are together, that the next logical step is to just break them up. Not sure why everyone thinks this will automatically happen.

Hunter deserves a Grammy nomination.

They better not make this fucking show all about Jim and Pam’s relationship. This show is called THE OFFICE for a fucking reason. In the british version Jim and Pam never even got together!

I dunno, when they make this all serious and about relationships the show loses a lot of it’s edge and humor, especially around the smaller characters, all of whom I find hilarious.

I don’t think it’s gonna happen tho, that exchange where Jim was thinking for a split second on how he could get Pam out with him, then went “Ah, fuck it, I’m out this bitch!” was high comedy :rofl:

Also, :rofl: @ Michael lying down on the little bed.

^_-;

I like the relationship aspect of the show. I think it is one of its strongest points.

Jim wasn’t initially ditching Pam. He made up the excuse to actually include Pam at first (I think!), but Michael retorted by saying that the accident at his house didn’t need BOTH Jim and Pam to attend to which cornered him, since he had no response to continue to include Pam, which ended up forcing him to still leave getting caught up in his own lie. It was after that that Pam made up the phrase to not leave the party on its own, obviously knowing Michael too well. Pam was relieved at first that Jim found a way to get them both outta there, but Michael fucked Pam, he was still gonna leave, so Pam fucked Jim heh heh.

Or maybe I wasn’t paying too close attention…

the relationship stuff before dwight and angela broke up was good, but this whole dwight/andy/angela thing is going so wrong…

the problem with this episode - not enough kevin…

michael laying down on “his” bed was priceless:rofl:

I cracked up at Michael saying he was making Jim laugh and saying “look at him hes smiling”

but Jim had the whole .____. face going

:rofl:

I really liked the emphasis of the overall antics of the show, particularly in the actual office setting. The relationship part is sorta, “meh” to me, and I really don’t like the increased emphasis of non-office settings. Sorta like Law & Order (OG edition); I don’t want to see the detectives and attorneys personal home life, I just want Law and Order.

Watchign right now…

“Oakey afterbirth”

:rofl:

The look on Jim’s face when he smelled the candles had me rolling.

“THAT’SWHATSHESAID!!!”

^_-;

i forgot about the oakey afterbirth line.

There’s only so many storylines you can go with in a closed office setting. I’m not a huge fan of the relationship, as the “will they/won’t they” had much more of an emotional impact, but since it’s happened, i’m not gonna bitch. Weak episode though.

“TOM CRUISE!”

I’m just happy to see Jenna Fischer again. She’s sucha cutie. :wgrin:

Yeah, Tom Cruise part was too good too…

Definitely was!

I’m gonna save up and get me a Plasma Screen too! :rofl:
