I thnk my order of Arcade DDR was like: 3rd, 2nd (via the code in 3rd), USA, 4th, 1st, 6th, 7th, 8th, 5th (I had never even SEEN a 5th mix until I moved here to IL), 9th (supernova)
I’ve AAA’ed some tracks in standard by now…but I gotta get my stamina back up if I wanna keep on goin’ with those 10+ sets of 4 I used to be able to do…I don’t do Heavy, but I’ll do some of the Challenge songs (they seem to follow beats better)
It’s funny though…with my fighting game peeps back in Houston there was no drama, but the DDR peeps (some LOOSE crossover from the fighting game peeps…) had MAD drama…it was kind of ridiculous…
speakin’ of which…I remember there was a fighting game that came out on DS that used form sort of rhythm-based system…it was called “Draglade”…

Oh ya and I remember JSB. That dude talked so much shit online, it was hillarious. I would have loved to see LilQ vs JSB but they were like a generation apart. Now the dudes playing ITG are just insane, litterally everyone who is good at that game has turned into some kind of robot.
I was actually a mod on bemanistyle for quite some time, then they had a version change but by then I didn’t really care that much. I am thinking about getting back into BM, even though I got rid of my games over a year ago since I hadn’t touched them. I still play a ton of DJ Max (Portable) but I can’t seem to get into the newest one… probably because I was having trouble unlocking stuff, but that’s a different issue.
Oh don’t get me wrong, I can play DDR. I used to be pretty good at DDR, the problem is that I literally DO pass out if I play more than two songs. I’m asthmatic and very very much out of shape.

I’m still not sure who’s bringing what atm, so if you have an extra 360 of PS3 you can bring, or extra sticks to place at a setup, please let me know asap.
I know a few people (myself included) are still waiting on final word from GS as to if/when we’re getting our TE sticks, so no big deal if your in that pile.
As of right now, I’ll have the 360 on my 42" with one hori ex2. If I get my TE stick before February 20th (hopefully), I’ll put my TE stick at the main setup. I think Jose said he’s also waiting for his…so if we both get ours, we should have a complete arcade setup on the big screen. Then I can switch my EX2 out to another setup, if needed.
Please let me know ahead of time if you are intending on showing. My place is larger now, yes, but that doesn’t mean I’ll have space for 30+ people if a bunch of randoms decide to show up. Also, after what happened at FF, I’d like to keep this open to people I already know from the community. I trust you guys, but it seems there may be some people who are not as trustworthy in the community. I don’t know who’s to blame for that, but without anyone stepping up to confess, it makes everyone I don’t already know/trust a suspect, imo. You guys don’t need your shit stolen, and neither do I.

I dont have a 3000, so i couldnt use the case. Headphones look cheap and will prolly break in my pocket, so I don’t really need to pay like, 3000 yen for some game cases…that’s like, 3/4-3/5 the way to a copy of the game itself lol.

Locations haven’t been announced yet but if you were at a GS that had a Brawl tourney then odds are, they’ll be having one for SFIV. It’ll give everyone a chance to get familiar with the game and possibly win one of these. The Grand prize is a SFIV Viewlix Cab.
Like I said, my brother might/should be coming with me so we’ll probably bring his Westinghouse Monitor that some of you may have seen along with our sticks, games, system(s), etc.
Also Jim, I went to GS the other day and asked if they knew what day they’d be available and the guy said that they should be in on the 11th according to what was in his computer. So, maybe expect an automated phone call on the 10th? Who knows!

hopefully since people ARE BUYING THE TE, FS, AND FP THROUGH GS they will let them use them in the tourney. if not, be prepared to pay $30 for destroying their 360 pad after you lose your match.
That’s what I’m hearing. I’m guessing they’d be using their 360 kiosk’s that most have in their stores so if that’s the case, I’ll enter but don’t expect much from me.

On the off chance that they will be setting up a different…setup…I’m bringing my EX2, just in case. I wish I had pre-ordered the TE when I had the chance, but when I had the chance, I didn’t have the funds.
You guys really should be winning the sfiv tournaments… because lets say that you are on the same level as every one else as far as execution, and game knowledge, you are still bringing a load of experience to outthink the other people that will be entering these stupid tournaments. Even if you have to jump hardkick->sweep, you should be able to easily beat whatever stubs that manage to show up.
syxx, I think everything about basic game knowledge goes out the window if you’re forced to play on a 360 dpad. the thing is regarded as the worst dpad in the history of game controllers.
Like I said, if enough people are interested, I want to throw a SFIV tourney at the party. Matches would run on the big screen setup, double elim. $5 entry seems probable.

ok wimps and indy is out for me. So maybe the SF4 gathering will work out alright. I’ll text my two friends in palintine if they wanna come too (they’ve been saying that they’re taking a break from SF until SF4 comes out so this could be a good chance to get them back into competitive gaming).
