awhile back, like a long long time ago they had a tournament at UIUC so me, a couple wisconsin players, and a couple chicago players decided to go. I won the qualifier, and the 2 wisconsin players just dominated placing first and second. But ya I met a buncha those guys at that tournament, and I actually went back a year later or something with the wisconsin players but they got drunk or something and one of the wound up in the hospital so they didn’t make the tournament that year. I entered but ended up dropping out. So ya I know those guys and we spammed their forums for a little bit but that was a long time ago.

I wanted too ask what was up with Midwest Challenge. Can we try to run it this year. It would be great for everyone in the community to come out and do this.Bring some out of state comp before final round or the tourney in texas or possibly sluts if the have it this year. What do you guys say?
I’m aware…I used the DDRfreak forums to promote my DDR tournaments…on two seperate instances, yourself, and Rahzel had issues with how I was going to run it (despite you two saying that you weren’t even coming out to the tournies in the first place, in which case, why did you bother debating?). The reason why I only say “fuck Rahzel” is because you weren’t a jackass about it, whereas he was a HUGE douche about it…
regardless…I ran them, and my ruleset worked (ask Kobayashi…he was there every time) so…yeah…thats all that is…

DDRFreak… I used to be a mod in their forums when I lived in Cali and haven’t posted there in the past 3 years and they still have me as a “Staff Member”. Oddly enough, thanks to DDR I got into fighting games community.

Like 5 or 6 years back I was part of a documentary some guys from USC did on some of my close friends from the DDR community. Here’s one of the clips that I’m in. DDR Freak gets mentioned and I say how I was introduced to the game… Reminds me I gotta ask my sister to mail me that DVD…

holy shit kennywood are u serious… oh yeah u are. I had no clue you played DDR. Well you must have played way back in the day. I started on MAX2 and ended on Extreme. Well that was a long time period anyway before supernovaaaaaa came out.
The last time I played in a ddr tournament, I thought I was going to die, seriously, I have never been in so much pain in my life, because my mind knew what I had to do but my body just didn’t agree. I still did really well which was funny, I’m just a good touranament player in that game I guess hahaha…
But anyway, DDR is the way I met a lot of fighting game people. It’s funny though, the DDR (Nappy, etc) players in Wisconsin played Tekken, which the ones from southside (FKC Kevin, Blacksnake, Jessu) all went on to play Guilty.
Oh Brandon, I didn’t know you posted on here. Well we’ll see you at the next tournament and hopefully we’ll get to play again. Also really sorry about the time with the SC4 tournament, I didn’t mean it to start so late but SC4 got started late also, and they were running Tekken on my ps3 for some reason. So like the guy that entered in your place at that tournament got 3rd and I kept the money to give to you since he basicly played for you. Anyway, sorry about what happened at that time.
