Reviving Nor Cal thread updated with the Ranbat setup. Look and be happy.

But where is the microwave in that diagram? o_o

Also, be sure to calibrate that HDTV for lag if it’s gonna be used for the tournament.

The microwave is next to the the upper-middle-right casual station. You can microwave all the frozen tacos you want. :3

Also, we’re not using the - mounted - HDTV for tournament use, but to showcase the top 8. We’re going to be splitting output, with S-Video cables, to work on the regular TV and HDTV so everybody, in the room, can see.

Anyways, read the Ranbat Thread for new information about updates.

Edit: VERY IMPORTANT!

When you enter Taylor hall, you need to sign in your **NAME **upon the guest check-in sheet and **WHOM **you’re visiting (in this case, it’s Ray). If you do not sign in, I cannot guarantee your stay here in Fremont.

Remember, upon entering the venue, I implore you to practice common sense! Don’t be a douchebag, don’t be a litter freak, vandalize property, steal equipment, and anything else that can ‘constitute’ gambling. I don’t have the patience to deal with that crap and neither should you. So let’s have a nice clean fight. >:3

Edit2: Unlike last time, I’m not bringing snacks n’ such. Simply put, I didn’t get my pay check yet so I have no moniez! D: Therefore, I’m leaving refreshments up to you guys. If you want to be a saint, then I ask that you can bring in whatever munchies you want. OrionXElite is being an awesome guy and bringing a case of WATER BOTTOS. Thanks! I encourage everyone else to do the same.

 Cool now it’s time to get stupid, dumb and hyphy while I’m there and drink and smoke in the place inside during the tourny. Leave my used crap all over the place. I’m going to break stuff too while being extra hyphy and loud . Who cares not my problem.

 j/k

everyone should be on their best behavior :nono: :razzy:

O I can bring GGAC and a ps2 :wgrin:

From what I gathered, there’s only fast food. I’m not feeling hype about getting sushi in Fremont. D: The dining hall is $7 per meal.

Edit: Please shower before coming! Nobody wants a wiff of heavy hobo man juice.

 Running late but don’t wait up for me. I should arrive at 1pm :xeye:

Thanks to everybody who showed up to the event. It’s been a while since I experienced, unprecedented, hype. Good stuff; now it’s time to pass out!

To update the Nor Cal scene, our next ranbat is - likely - going to be in Hayward this time. I cannot host the next tournament, but Tsubasa and Dakanya will be running the next session. I’ll keep you all informed.

 YES!!! hayward is real close to me again. Also mad props for hosting the last one that was really fun. Hadn’t played guilty gear in like a year at least (I thought everyone went to blazblue) good to know there’s still a scene and play people again and the next one I should do better. :bgrin:

I’m doing GG this saturday at my place in Daly City, from 12pm-8pm approximately, PM me for details if you want to join.

Edit: The next ranbat is PRE-REGISTRATION ONLY. We can only allocate 40 people in the venue and there is a $4 fee before 2pm and $5 after. Also, as courtesy of the venue fee, we have a cab setup on free play and free refreshments:

3s or CvS2:

  • JP Astro City
  • Full Sanwa
    [Game to be decided]

Edit2: Get hype for NorCal’s first GGAC/MBAA ranbat with BBQ!

To address any possible downtime or inaccessibility issues with tsubasa.nu, I’ve mirrored the prereg form on another site. If you’ve already preregged, there’s no need to prereg again so don’t!

Would people be opposed to putting T6 on the venue? I don’t see why not, but just want to put that out there.

Alright guys, hope to see you at the ranbat today!

 I would like tekken there that’d be cool and I also know a good few people that would come just for that. Also how’d it go saturday? Couldn’t make it. Also when and where is the next one fremont/union city/hayward are really good spots for me :razzy:

Saturday was mad hype. Great turnout with a pretty diverse selection of games for casual play once tourneys ended. I remember seeing TvC, AH1, CvS2, 3S, Dr. Mario, KOF XI among other things. While I really like seeing diversity in games, I’d like to motion to have a lot more TVs with Melty and Guilty for casuals now that EVO is within a few more months.

There was a lot more TVs last month but I dunno if that had to do with the venue or if people just weren’t bringing stuff.

Was a lot of fun regardless though. And yes, more melty TVs would be awesome

There were a lot more TVs in the Devry venue for multiple reasons - one of them was that there were people who brought LCDs from their dorms. Granted, they were lagging 2-6 frames, but were usable.

We are now underway for the next Tournament. Games will include: T6, MBAA, and GGAC
