Thanks for the positive rep Coopa n’ friends. So one of my latests epiphanies - in light of recent events - is that there’s a lack of showcase for FGs not related to SF4. I, personally, owe a great deal to their community for showing me how to get stuff done. And, in return, I want to show that the BB community won’t flake out like what happened in GG @ EVO. I’ve been busy up to my ass with real life, but I’m willing to put forth the effort to get this minor gig started. So where, you might ask, did I scrounge up the courage to plaster some random minor for a - so called - dead game? Because, more or less, “The games are HYPE and only a handful of people are playing them!” If you beg to differ, then I implore you to come to the NorCal Install GGAC/MBAA ranbats or the SVGL BBCS tournaments.

This minor will indicate the end of the first year’s NorCal Install ranbats. After that, we’ll be taking a break and resume when we first started the gig - November! As Gordon Ramsay would say, “Damn. I forgot rule #10. You’re only as good as your last service.”
We had TvC casuals last time, but only a handful of people played. I know some others were showing interests, but people were busy playing MB or GG 
Not that that’s bad but wish the game got a lil bit more love.

I’m still busy up to my ass with work and, frankly, I’ve been busy trying to get them done in SOME particular order. SO, keeping that in mind, I appreciate your efforts. The reality is that I need to have somebody back me up in case I can’t pitch this minor. In the event that something - outside of my control - happens, I need to know that we can have backup.

We simply don’t have the staff and volunteers to run a, grandose, minor. So, based on feedback from the community and tournament organizers, SSF4 is out of the question. The whole point of NorCal INSTALL! is to revive a - supposed - dead scene with hopes to extend our reach to a new generation of FGers.
As for the Aksys sponsor, I can only hope and - cross my fingers - that they received my voicemail and respond ASAP. And I sure hope that Koogy would be, more than willing, to lend us a hand. Thanks for the advice Mr. Coopa. I will give you a free 720 on my Rawrgna.

Yo, I know it’ll be a while until Fanimoo but what’s the plan for that? I know SNCR is the same weekend so how will this work out?
NCR right? Well GG/MB isn’t at NCR and I’m already booked for Fanime.
SNCR doesn’t have GG/MB/BBCS, whereas, Fanimoo is getting Daisuke and Toshimichi. I, personally, would latter option.
Alright, so I take it that everyone’s going to be at Fanimoo. This goes well with me 'cause I’ve long since purchased my all-weekend pass for the event.

NorCal ‘MINOR’ Install Tournament is going through some new and exciting things. :3 Either way, keep August 7th open.

Okay guys. So after talking things over with Coopa, here’s the deal with the minor tournament. First things first, are we staying with, ‘NorCal INSTALL’ or do you want to change the name to, ‘HitConfirm!’ Considering all the venue hopping we’ve been doing, I - personally - would choose the latter.
The mission statement for our, future, tournaments is this, “HitConfirm/NorCal INSTALL seeks to expose the new generation of FGers to the classics while building stronger social networks within the Fighting Game community.”
I just came up with that off the top of my head, but feel free to argue differently or edit accordingly. Here’s the situation with our tournaments and how it will look like in the future. Do you care enough about the game you play to showcase it to other people? Do you want to play other - good - classic titles in a competitive setting? And if you feel like you want to help redirect some of the SSF4 hype train to other titles, then are you willing to step up your game to show it?
If you said, ‘Yes,’ then I suggest you start helping this minor get off it’s ass and into high gear. And here’s how you can help:
- First, and foremost, show up! We’re looking at the first weekend of August.
- Bring your setup; this can range anywhere to streaming setups to bringing consoles/TVs.
- Be a TO (tournament organizer); you can help run tournament brackets, seeding, and managing the games on the roster.
- Advertise; spread the word. Hype begins with you and only when YOU prevent forest blazing combos.
- Help us find VENUES! Hit confirm as many as you can!
- Coopa suggests MMs…like A3r vs. DODGEMONKEY.
So what’s on the roster? For starters, we’re putting in BBCS, GGAC, and MBAA. T6 is out of the picture, but what we’re going to do is let the community decide on which game they want to ‘HIT CONFIRM!’ This means, ‘if we put a fourth game on the lineup, then the FG community will vote for their game like they did for EVO.’ We will be putting these tournaments either semi-annually or quarterly. Either way, the minor will consist of those three games.
Look forward to a hype end-of-the-summer.
