The NorCal Downtown Throwdown 5/16/10 Lodi,CA STICKY PLEASE

360 fo sho

anyone in the south stockton area want to maybe carpool or something… i got a big ass truck that eats gas and if someone who’s already going doesn’t mind taking 1-2 people with them that would be tight and save me some money lol.

Alan Chan that own’s Chan’s restaurant on lower sac?

The answer to that question is no, our Mr. Chan owns and operates only the Comic Grapevine.
Also to recap for anybody who hasn’t taken the time to read the updated first post, we’ve changed the system of choice to the XBOX 360.

It seems the majority of players in our region play on the XBOX 360. We also have greater access to more systems and copies if we go this route. We will provide standard XBOX 360 controllers for the tournament but still encourage you to bring your own custom controller or arcade stick if you feel it gives you a competitive edge.

Nothing else about the tournament has changed, only the system choice, all other information is current, thank you all for your generated interest!

Week and a half hurray! Any who we will be hosting a practice night in Lodi at Fighting Jams store at 7pm on friday the 7th at 7pm if anyone is interested in attending/

Hey, my stick for the 360 might not be here by the 16th, if it isn’t, would anyone be ok with me using their stick just for the tournament? i’m not abusive with sticks, at all. I just completely blow on the pad, so yeah

Yeah man you can use mine hopefully we will have at least 1 extra for future tournaments.

Just a minor update, we’ve managed to secure (one) six button fighter SFIV Ken pad for the tournament. This will be available for players who prefer to use this style controller but do not have their own.

I want to go. I never been to a tournament though. I use a stick but for ps3.

We plan on changing that for the next event. As we get further on we’ll only get better and better but even if you’re not participating in the tournament, there’s no charge to play in the casuals that go on from 11AM - 1:30PM, plus we’ll have all sorts of Capcom odds and ends to check out in the mean time.

me and friends are down (1 plus2)

i was wondering does anyone have a converter or sells one in lodi? i have a friend who plays on his ps3 but hes not use to the 360 pad

not that im aware of sorry =(

Any idea on how many people you expect?

Our current estimate is in the range from 30-60 people showing up for the tournament side of our event. We’re also going to have a set up for demoing Tatusnoko vs. Capcom as well as a casuals station to demo Super Street Fighter IV for non tournament players.

We’re updating the venue, we’re not cutting off the registration until about 2-2:15PM, we’re going to start the tournament around 2:30ish depending on how many people are still on their way. If you have any questions please call (209) 368-1096 and ask for Alan Chan. We have a decent turnout so far.

1st. tinh (boxer/sagat)
2nd. hitman (abel)
