Big thanks to all the players who showed up to our small town event, we had a great turn out! The crowd was great and we’ll make sure to have the food court routes planned out for you next time. Thanks also go out to the guys who helped support our venue by getting merch, we’re going to put each dollar to good use to improve our venue. If there’s anything you guys want done different at our next event, let us know because we’re always listening. Congrats to the top 3 and hope to see you all next fight.
For future tournaments -
- Ensure TVs on setups will be lagless (CRTs are almost guaranteed lagless - if you want to show matches on a bigscreen, get a splitter and do it that way)
- When running brackets, try to run them in such a way that winners / losers don’t have to wait around. For example, after round 1, alternate between winners and losers. That way, people are always playing and no one has to wait around for a long time because they’re waiting for matches to be played.
#1 is extremely important. #2 is to ensure players don’t have to go too long without playing and to reduce overall tournament time. Overall, I’d say this tournament ran very smoothly. Just keep the above points in mind for future tournaments.
Thanks for throwing this tournament. It was pretty cool and opened my eyes to the fact that Dictator IS FUCKING BROKEN (just kidding). Also, the keychain is pretty spiffy. Good stuff.
Also had a good time! some really good competition! I wanna see that championship match uploaded to youtube! ended with a punch! lol @ corny-ness!
Chinese food after was good too! But spilling water on your customers is a :nono:
Yeh ty to everyone who attended . We will def do this again . I will be posting all the pics and video we have soon. Gratz to TIHN on 1st place he walked with 195 bucks and MONDO aka HITMAN on 2nd with 55 bucks . MIKE aka MIKE BISON on 3rd with 23 dolla bills.
was entry fee $23? what an odd payout…
$10 entry fee
$273 pot : $68 venue
34-35 Entries
Tinh - 71.5%
Hitman - 20%
Mike - 8.5%
Payout only seems odd at first glance because (3rd) isn’t 1/2 of (2nd) but it adds up. The difference was like 4 bucks.
