The Nintendo Switch Thread v. Come post on Mega Shock!: I’m not updating this anymore

ha, I’m in the same bout about Luminous Avenger… at that price I’m probably getting that before the weekend is over. I have the Azure Striker Gunvolt double pack as a physical game; I hope they continue with that franchise…it’s awesome stuff there.

Luminous for $9? So glad I waited, that’s bought as soon as I get off work. Gunvolt is a dope series,

Albeit Copen seemed overpowered as fuck in the 2nd game. They must’ve have beefed up the enemies to contend with him lol

We are at least getting a Gunvolt 3, they announced it earlier this year.

Rise looks so god damn good

. I love how movement and momentum based the combat is. Every other MH game I’ve seen just seems incredibly slow or not at a pace I feel it should be.

Around 13 minutes of Hyrule Warriors: Age of Calamity gameplay. This was aired during Koei’s TGS stream

Personal thoughts:

  • Right away you can tell that Koei borrowed some of Nintendo’s programming wizardry cause the game is absolutely gorgeous, feel alive and the maps are huge. It genuinely feels like they’re pushing the Switch to its limits.
  • I’m sure we’re not going to get the Link or Impa we were shown right out of the gate. That’d be ridiculous. We were likely looking at a demo built specifically for TGS.
  • The hits from your weapons look much more impactful instead of the arcade-y style Musou is known for.
  • Legit air combos!
  • I like the idea of cooking. It makes me thing that’s how you’ll power level, gain combos, and special gauges as opposed to the license boards, rupee power leveling and finding items in field like in OG Hyrule Warriors
  • They also showed non-food items being obtained from enemies as well. It makes me think that’s how you’ll get better versions of weapons and armor you’ve unlocked. Or they’ll create abilities forbyour weapons band armor.
  • Please no fucking weapon or armor durability.
  • I have a feeling I will cry my eyes out when we find out what happens to our little Guardian buddy
  • I don’t know if I’ll change my stance on it but after playing Age of Calamity I’d be willing to try BotW again. Cause I already feel that urge deep in my jellies
  • I need that god damn blanket/flag thing

I think that lil guardian is gonna hit Link with the betrayal during the final battle. Beam right in the back.

Don’t you fucking dare say that

It would make perfect sense. Might also help explain how a dude who deflected a guardian laser with a pot lid as kid got caught off game and somehow almost died.

Meh. I laughed. Good enough for me.

Fair enough.

According to PushDustin if they reveal another playable character during the next Age of Calamity live stream it will likely be Purah.

The reason being is that she is mentioned by Impa when you find the little guardian. Impa says to Link that Purah would know more about it than anyone else so they need to see her ASAP

The Egg is going to be one of the first to turn and the game will make a big deal out of it.

People out there in love with it and wanting merch forgetting they’ll have to turn it into an omelet late-game.
