Yea and most people don’t give a shit about brand integrity so like…why should Nintendo or Sony you know? People will buy their stuff regardless.
Even though it could affect the bottom line, integrity is a value on the provider’s side. We all know green is the color of the day and as long as the key performance indicators (KPIs) show black, they’re good. As a fan of a franchise, it could erode some of the trust which may cause someone to dip out earlier.
This is a somewhat strange release because it’s less of a passion project and more of a “you know we were gonna do this”.
Fucking bundles coming with exclusive amiibo.
Guess I’m getting monster Hunter rise. Thankfully it looks dope as fuck. If I hate it I know one of my friends will take it cause he loves monster Hunter
My copy of merio 3D all stars is now delayed…welp…guess I’ll keep waiting.
but does it come with a Steelbook
You know that doesn’t mean anything to me lol
Edit: apparently the magnamalo amiibo isn’t exclusive to the CE bundle. But since I didn’t have to put any sort of deposit down thanks to it being a dotcom order I’ll keep the preorder as a just in case.
As I said I’m genuinely interested in MHR. So if it’s awesome than awesome. If it’s not I have a friend here who would love to have it.
I’m tempted to just cancel the one that I have shipping out. I only chose to do so because there is a very small Transformer that’s hard to get and it was able to ship for free with orders over $35. With more limited releases, I try not to play around.
priorities…we all got them. You wouldn’t be the only person here to preorder something for alt reasons. I might get a digital copy of merio and keep my physical sealed.
I went ahead and just did in-store pickup. Once i get the notification, I’ll cancel the one being shipped out. Besides, the TF is already in route
Just picked my copy of Mario All Stars up from Best Buy. Gonna be a fun weekend!
Hopefully my Best Buy here allows people to browse the store again… that was a real downer when I went a few months ago and they no longer allowed that; it discouraged me from coming back all this time.
…but yeah, fortunately I’m close to both Target and Best Buy so I could just stop by those places on a regular trip soon.
…on another note—first death in Hades----got to a room with a lot of those floating characters that throw purple magic projectiles at you…eventually it was projectiles all over the place while the floating skull enemies were around. I made it a surprisingly long period of time on just 1 hp but they finally got me.
It could but we see that it generally doesn’t and scapling is as big as ever. If it actually effected these companies Nintendo would have stopped the artificial Amiibo scarcity years ago. Still running strong tho.
What site you use to preorder it?
The CE of MHRise and the amiibo are exclusive to GameStop
Not sure why you all think scalpers are picking up 3D All Stars. That shit is selling for like $70-$75 max on ebay. That’s like a whole $3 or so after fees.
Because its a limited released. That’s ripe for scalping.
I’m with you. Keep in mind it’s one thing for a company to make a product available at retail in low numbers vs providing a limit of the quantity allowed at the time of purchase. Scalping is.gonna happen, but it’s a bit better contained if one guy is able to buy the whole case at from multiple stores. Best Buy changed their policy in part to one guy literally traveling across the state of Texas to buy Steelbooks.
It’s not like they are releasing all the copies right now. It’s “limited” for like 7 months. Who knows how many copies will be out there in the wild, and you can still download it so it’s not like you can’t play it if you really want it.
And limited != high demand.
If it was in high demand it would be going for more than $7 after tax on ebay.
Yea but at that point its on Wal-Mart and Best Buy.
Sup…
Is anyone besides me having issues using Paypal on the EShop?
I’ve unlinked and relinked several times…but I keep getting an error when trying to purchase something.
