Mario Kart Live: Home Circuit is 1.1gb and must be installed before playing.
Each Mario Kart AR Kart battery life depends on what CC you’re playing on. The only example given is if playing on 150cc the Kart’s battery lasts about 1.5 hours.
In addition Each Kart will take 3.5 hours to recharge.
MSRP of MKLive is $99. Comes with game and one of two AR Karts: Mario and Luigi.

Modnation was superior, imo. The gameplay part of it was actually fun, and it had incredible levels of customization on everything. Your character, car, and tracks were all customizable in so many ways…
- -various texture effect options on characters and cars…maybe you want your character/car to look shiny like glossy metallic…or have a fabric look…or like it’s dirty and raggedy…
- -various object “pieces” that could be placed anywhere on the character’s head, naturally opening up all kinds of possibilities.
- Object/pieces for the car as well; things like a dead fly, little details like paper or scuff marks, different antennas, arrows and swords stuck in the vehicle, etc.
- Various stickers: clipart, patterns and alphanumeric text; also keep in mind these things, along with texture effects can even be scaled and rotated…and you can place them anywhere.
- Even the interior of your vehicle can be changed— there’s a variety of seats, engine blocks, and steering wheels… this is all just stuff I remember off the top of my head.
In terms of customization, there’s few games ever made in videogame history that even come close to this.
Sadly the servers have been down for a long time at this point…but unlike a lot of dumbass “online only” nonsense these days, it doesn’t require the internet to function.
edit— then there’s different types of car body-frames to pick from…cars, trucks, vans, etc.
Also back to gameplay— it seemed to be less “bullshit” situations in this compared to the Mario Kart franchise, imo…like against other real players, things were generally fair. If you got smoked it was more than likely that other player simply being consistently better than you.

I honestly can’t even remember SMG2. But I also can’t really remember SMG1 either. Like I remember them but if you showed me a video of either one I wouldn’t be able to tell you which game it is from. I enjoyed them though.
Has anyone heard any info with Mario Kart Live Home Circuit if you can make longer courses with 2 sets of gates? Looks like each one comes with 4 gates. I’m wondering if you can make longer courses with 8 games. I’ll probably get Mario and Luigi since I plan on getting my son a Switch for Xmas so we could play with both.
People complaining about no HD remaster for mario 64 and no galaxy but idk Im really glad we are getting this.

Well actually they are remasters, and that is pretty cool to have finally, people mean to complain about them not being a graphical remake.
Remaster so misunderstood.
It would have been cool for Nintendo to do the Halo Remaster where you can switch between the new and the HD old at the press of a button.

Precisely for mario 64 i woulda liked some smoothed surfaces and stuff but overall ya idc. Sunshine and Galaxy still look fine to me. Some folks bitchin about Sunshine only doing 30 fps… cmon bro is a Mario game not Forza 5

I would have liked a graphical update. Mario 64 is such a eyesore. They could reuse the models from the modern Mario games and work on the environment for new assists.
60fps would have been nice but I’m not gonna bitch about it. Don’t know how much of the game systems are tied into the fps for example.
It says they did improve the resolution, so that’s something.

Sometimes that can actually be a curse lol. Like in HD in MGS1 you can see through the seems between the environment because it’s so sharp.

I’m actually super stoked to play 3D All-Stars. Despite owning a game cube as a teenager I have never played Sunshine. It’s actually the only mainline Mario game I’ve never played

Lot of people don’t seem to like Sunshine. It’s my favorite 3D Mario personally. Love the vacation theme.
