I bought Blasphemous and Curse of the Moon 2 full price when I first got my system. I was pissed to no end when the former went on sale for half less than a week later. Other than that, I bought Rolling Gunner full price because I’m a shump fiend😂 I bought everything else on sale.
Edit: You know what, though? Other than the slip up with Blasphemous, I don’t regret dropping the ends. I’m a handheld guy, so I love the fact that I have everything right there to choose from, and the games run perfectly. The game count is even technically higher due to four of them being bundles (Oniken+Odallus Collection, Vasara Collection ($.99), Capcom Beat Em Up Bundle, and MMX Legacy 1). My switch lite is a BEAST. If Sony wasn’t so damn arrogant and stubborn, what could’ve been with my beloved Vita…
Yeah I have the older one, it was laggy.
But I gutted the PCB and put in a brooks Retro board inside. Looks like I don’t have to hack up the navigation buttons pcb this time.
heh, it’s definitely way more than I’ve bought for any other Nintendo system… I have around 70 to 80-something games at this point; I forgot the exact # now…some of them being bundles increasing that # further, of course. It’s safe to say this is my favorite Nintendo system of all time without question. The legendary SNES finally got dethroned.
Whenever I had the choice to conveniently buy a physical version of a game I got it that way.
(*Conveniently----that is to say—buying it at a store, in person…I’m not really interested in ordering online and having to then wait on a delivery; I still like the good ol fashioned method of buying stuff in person so I have it right then and there.)
I double dipped a lot with my Vita. I have physicals of nearly all my games, but dipped for the digitals when good sales would pop up, with the only exception being Dragons Crown. I quintuple dipped on that shit, and would do it again🤣
Darius will probably never come down. I’m thinking of getting the Darius Cosmic Collection. The Psikyo Alpha and Bravo collections are on my list of stuff to pick up, just haven’t yet
I bought the PS4 Limited Edition from Strictly Limited Games, impatiently waiting for it to arrive. If the digital switch versions would come down to $20, I might consider it, but you’re probably right.
I think I have 20-odd games and I’ve gotten most of them on sale. I’ve only paid full price for Smash and SamSho, maybe one or two others, but things go on sale so often, you can get everything at some kind of discount if you keep an eye on your wishlist. It’s almost a game in and of itself.
the main thing I’ve been hoping for is the return of my honey Bayonetta… it’s difficult to keep hope alive… it’s been forever since we’ve seen or even heard anything
I’m waiting for my physical copy of Rolling Gunner to arrive. Didn’t know the game was even on the Switch eShop until now. I was probably absorbed in Splatoon 2, Smash Ultimate and Super Mario Maker 2 so that’s probably why I didn’t know. The game did release in June of last year, after all.
I ended up grabbing Darius Cozmic Collection Arcade. The original Darius definitely feels like a first game. It uses the dreaded check point system and you are screwed without a tricked out Silver Hawk. Not a bad game but it definitely feels rough. Now Darius 2 is where it is at. Even when you aren’t powered up, you’re still in a better position to doll out some damage. And the soundtrack? Oooooo that is ZUNTATA perfection!
Kinda on the fence about getting Darius Cozmic Collection Console. I do wanna play the Genesis version of Darius II and Darius Twin has a special place in my heart for being the first Darius game I ever played despite not being nearly as good as other titles. The Console version is definitely priced too high.
