The Nintendo Switch Thread v. Come post on Mega Shock!: I’m not updating this anymore

y’know, I forgot what she says/thinks when you “embrace” her… one particularly dark/morbid detail of that game is that you psychically “hear” a person’s final thoughts as they die when you feed on them…heh, nice touch there. In fact, the game even starts with that happening as Jonathan dies to the vamp that turned him…I think his thoughts were something like “…no…I have so much left to do……”

About turning people—I would’ve preferred it if you had free reign on that…the option to turn any normal human character instead of killing them via feeding…I see how that could be quite a big deal in terms of writing even more lines of dialogue for the VAs though since you have to write for all the “what if player does ___?” situations…and this game didn’t have a “AAA” budget if I recall.

Yeah I love that part of it. I agree about being able to turn people being a really cool idea, almost like building an army you made, it’s kind of a bummer you can’t, but who knows, if there’s ever a sequel maybe they’ll add that.

I’m stuck at the sewer boss right now. I think I need to level up my weapons a bit but Good Handle Parts apparently don’t pop up yet, so I’ve been levelling up myself. I don’t need much juice to be able to get him, but he’s definitely the first boss that I’ve died to more than once.

According to several leakers they will be one more 3rd party publisher Direct sometime in August and a full blown Nintendo Direct by the end of August.

I got almost 400 h on 30th so yeah I think it was worth it. I play almost exclusively 3S and while it is still active dont expect the same amount of people as dbfz on ps4. Id say is even better if you have someone to play irl cause you get all the games basically. I always loved Alpha2

We get to see Nintendo fans play themselves again? I’ll get the popcorn ready.

That’s kinda where I’m at too.

Never have to worry about this as SRK do the work for me. :upside_down_face: I wake up and one of you will get the bullet points.

i love traditional rouge likes. chocobo dungeon was one of the first ones i ever played. Its one of the few things I loved about the genesis and game gear as well. they both had a shit ton of them.

I haven’t played Grace though.

Ever play Shiren the Wanderer on SNES?

Yes. Super fun.

Nice. I have it on my Vita but haven’t gotten around to playing it yet. It looks really fun tho.

Rogue Likes were arguably my favorite game genre outside of beat em up’s growing up until JRPG’s and fighters took over. They were so much fun.

Your issue with the term Metroidvania is kinda the issue I have with a lot of games throwing around the terms rogue like and rouge lites so flippantly these days.

I actually dislike that shit quite a bit too lol. But yea I feel you for sure.

Watching this vid of HGG playing through DKC is giving me memories of my first time playing through. When he complained about the placement of that cart in the mine cart level I felt that lol
