I make it a point to collect all the 3rd party amiibos regardless of whether I really care about the character or not.

So early reviews are coming out for origami king
Good:
- Very aesthetically pleasing
- dialog is funny and charming as always
- story is fun
- awesome world to explore
- great music
- over all fun to play
Bad:
- Not an RPG
- Combat is very one-dimensional and easy to exploit
- Quest/Area based party members and not swappable.
- cannot control party member
- Not much in terms of side quests or post game quests
All that said Most reviewers are giving it a high 7 to mid 8. Which is about what I expected. All the bullet points are also all the things I anticipated after watching the Treehouse

Miyamoto has straight up said he likes Paper Mario but he doesn’t like it as an RPG series. And if people want to play a Mario RPG than they should play the M&L RPG series of games.
P-p-p-plot twist. Alpha Dream, The company that made them doesn’t exist anymore and Nintendo didn’t even help them out when they knew they were going under.

Oh, take it for what it’s worth but the same leaker who mentioned the mini-direct in March and the supposed upcoming direct This month also touched on the 3D Mario collection that’s supposed to be announced soon
The two main key points were

With 64, Galaxies and Sunshine don’t expect anything new except for some polish, minor tweaks and bug squashing

Super Mario 3D World “Deluxe” is where all the goodies and extra content will be.

Nothing new is needed for me. If they do HD polishing I’m buying at full price no fucks given. I never played Galaxy and didnt get to finish Sunshine (my lil bro traded it for fifa…) so I’m all in.

Dang, 3D World is actually my least favorite of the 3D Mario games. Was really hoping for a 64 remake.
Never played 3D world but otherwise played each mainline Merio game.
y’know, as some of ya know I don’t care for Pokemon…but if there was a game featuring Mewtwo as the main character, where he just goes around doing whatever…possibly taking over the world… I’d be down for that day 1. That continues to be the 1 character out of that franchise that’s cool to me. Part of my main enjoyment with Pokken Tournament was that he’s a playable character, and you can proceed to destroy the shit out of all the other pokemon with your superior powers.
