Should be nowhere north of $30. Ideally under $20 but most of the time I have seen it on sale physically it is just north of thirty.

Silver and Wally. So did Hau. Hops “arc” was him being constantly useless. The one time he had a chance of being his own person he dug his heels deeper which made him even more useless.

Shit’s still going for $40-$50 new and cats on Craigslist and OfferUp are selling it for the same, USED, some with no case smh…

Has there been a good starting rival since gen three or four. They have watered it down from jerk jock rival to just a childhood buddy you start out with and will occasionally fight for exp.
To be fair they have tried adding story based rival characters which has been somewhat successful here and there. But the overall concept they have been pushing of a friendly rival which isn’t memorable nor makes the rival look good in comparison.
This is one thing I genuinely enjoyed about X/Y and SW/SH. They gave you multiple rivals. Even if X/Y leaned on the “we’re all child hood friends” thing they gave you options and some of them developed personalities overtime.
Black and White did similar with Cherin who was your rival in BW but became a gym leader in BW2. But in BW/BW2’s case I feel a rival wasn’t necessary since Team Plasma were so well written as the generational antagonist team. Especially N and Colress
With SW/SH Hop is a bumbling idiot and a sack of shit with no real personality outside of every time you see him you want to punch him in the face. Marnie and Bede were cool rivals. I liked Bede a lot.

I do really hate Bede more than anyone else though. I find his personality grating.

Cool vid of stage 1, with that said to anyone actually playing I really recommend against getting more then 2 options. It helps tame the rank, more then 2 and the game starts getting real mean.
