I got 66 on the jump rope challenge and was all proud… until I looked at the world records board and saw some Japanese guy got 11,329. Like, how the fuck?
Those are only for first person camera control.
I got 70 and was so happy. I want to know the man who sat there for 11,000 jumps. Like the fuck
Man Nintendo fucking knocked it out of the park with this game. The way they have moons all over the place makes me never want to put the game down and to explore every damn nook and cranny of every level. And it’s fun as shit doing so because it’s like every part of every level has a purpose. It’s very hard to put the game down. I also never really want to go onto the next level because I want to keep looking for moons.
I can agree here, only 2 Marios that hae blown me away was 3D World and 64, in fact I actually prefer 3D World/Land style over traditional Mario lol. Game is still cool though. Idk what trick Nintendo did to make people enjoy the actually collecting of a collectaton though, even those are the purpose of the games, they still feel like chores, in this one it doesn’t feel like a chore. It’s a very play are your own pace type of game.
Got the __ of the Wild set just now, after getting all the shrines a few days ago. It looks ugly as fuuuuck…
Probably fight Gannon tonight. Wondering if I should the the Master Sword trials first though, just for the dramatic story effect…?
how many moons does everyone have so far? i think i’m about to turn the game on again and collect a few more.
I think I’m at 111 right now.
Got 126 jumps on the jump rope challenge. Will def want to push it to triple digits for a surprise.
This game is really good but it doesn’t do much for me as far as being a genre defining game. I think Rayman legends is a better platformer than anything Mario related in the past 15 years or so.
Still a great game, moon hunting is addicting as fuck.
169 I think. Gotta check when I turn it on tonight.
Equal to or better than Galaxy 1 or Galaxy 2 ? Or not quite as good?
I haven’t played 3D world but I can tell that one is good.
to me it’s better than both galaxy games from the limited time I spent with them. Didn’t play 3d world’s so idk about that one
Anyone else pumped for LA Noire and Skyrim on the switch. I really haven’t played either game and got a work related trip scheduled the week after release so I’m going ham for those 2 weeks.
A bit worried about the rumored technical issues for skyrim and with Bethesda’s track record I’m expected it to run worse than the ps4 version did but skyrim on the go will be dope.
Not worried about the noire port though.
Skyrim been around since 2011, most of the game breaking bugs are fixed before Special edition.
3D world is for those who wanted an evolution of the classic formula of the 2D games. Mario Odyssey is more of a step forward for those who like 3D Mario gamrs.
its not the bugs I’m worried about. Performance issues and load times seemed to be an issue iirc from the article I read a while ago. Let me see if I can find it.
Nevermind. Digital foundry article put those fears to rest

Most Bethesda games are buggy as bleep since they cramp so much inside of it like a box overstuffed with holiday decorations. They apparently had another team work on Skyrim for the Switch so this might be the least buggy of all the versions coming out of the box. Still personally, I am more interested to see how they handle Doom… or I would be if Mario and recent eShop purchase, Graceful Explosion Machine were dominating my time.
Graceful Explosion Machine seems to be a nice balance of frustration and zen that I can play it for a while just getting my rank and score better and have incredible fun. Mario is a blast to play but I am savoring that slowly, still haven’t cleared the desert kingdom yet to get to the next one.
sheeeeeit, oh yeah… I’m already thinking about what kind of character I will make in this version of Skyrim. Of course my main character will be a vampire asap once again. Until VAMPYR is out next year, Skyrim is still the greatest modern vampire game out there, even though that’s not what the game is mainly about.
I was never a fan of L.A. Noire though…it looked amazing at the time but it didn’t look like anything that interesting was going on in there…just some crime/detective shit; I’m always craving the supernatural stuff.
Starting odyssey tomorrow. Super stoked
I think the glitch on Pandora’s Tower was in Level 12? I still haven’t played this game yet, but I think it involved going through doors in a certain order? I’d look it up right now, but I’m about to head out and I’m reeling from BotW.
Speaking of BotW ending…
Spoiler
If I go to ‘Continue’ it has me in front of Sanctum with a star next to my profile. If I click on there it’s the boss fight again. I heard you can still play the game afterwards, as I was going to go do the Master Sword Trials and mull about finishing up the side quests. I can load up a previous save, BUT, I was curious as to why a star was next to the profile.

Game world changes a little once you beat the game, with tougher enemies with better equipment appearing, in particular a lot of the Lynels level up to higher forms.
