Switch Launch Game The Binding of Isaac Delayed - IGN
One of Nintendo Switch's launch games, The Binding of Isaac: Afterbirth+, has been delayed.

I don’t have a tv at all so it only makes sense given how cheap 4k hdr is already ( I just saw one at best buy 55 inch for 320) to just buy 4k. If I buy a 4k tv I’m going to want to experience 4K content period.

It’s really neither of these things.
spudlyff8fan: javert: Sonichuman: S00perCam:I think with this news of a 4k version coming before the current version is even out I think I might actually just hold off if they are working on it already that means were talking probabaly one year to the day of release when it drops (spring 18) With preorders being sold out it might not be till late summer / fall before I even get one by then i’m looking at about a half year before the new one drops as much as i’d rather not wait I think I’m going to have to backtrack on this one.
I’m finding the idea of Nintendo working on an ‘updated’ version of the Switch this early really far fetched (if at all really). Nintendo isn’t really known to real ‘updates’ in their home console hardware. I find the idea of an attachment or something like the expansion bay for the N64 more believable. They don’t even have an idea of how well the system is going to sell in the long run yet and now you’re going to tell me that they’re going to just go ahead and spend more money into making a more powerful version of the system before it even gets released? That doesn’t sound like Nintendo’s MO.
Nintendo has a terrible track record updating its consoles and all of those plans turn into vaporware:
[] SNES was going to have a CD ROM expansion. Never went anywhere.
[] N64 was going to have a disk drive: it either turned into vaporware, or it became a Japan only thing. Don’t remember well.

Gamecube: again had a pair of bottom ports for expansions. All it got was an adapter to play Game Boy games.
I doubt they have the capability to deliver a system with both 4k / 60 fps when not even Sony or Microsoft can bring it consistently. It also looks like a foolish attempt to compete with them in their own turf when even they have realized it is a dead end. Maybe they want to throw a bone to the specs whores but jeopardizing and screwing over the people that preordered or were planning to buy a Switch early sounds outrageous. They couldn’t be that st… wait, I withdraw my comment.
The 60 fps dream is definitely a dream and kind of a strange one.

anyone who is still looking to preorder a Switch Pro Controller: Best Buy still has them for preorder. I just preordered mine.
Also, Binding of Isaac: Afterbirth+ is so longer a Switch Launch Title but still plans on coming out "Sometime in March" One of Nintendo Switch's launch games, The Binding of Isaac: Afterbirth+, has been delayed.

It’s not a high priority for me right now, but I’m going to try to get a Pro controller at launch. If they don’t have it, it’s no big deal.

Are you trying to suggest that I stated that games are worse with high framerates? I don’t see what you’re saying here.

I’m saying great games that run at 60fps exist so it’s neither a dream, nor is it a strange dream because its real. It’s not even a dream on the switch, it’s just a matter of aiming for it. On console it may be a dream (4k/60fps) but that’s only for now, it’s a wall that will crumble with time and hardware, and on PC it’s already here. It’s really just a matter of devs putting it higher on the priority list then other things, and some devs do this, others don’t. If you can get enough people to care about it and demand it then you’d be more likely to actually get it.

Well yeah, no shit. But not hitting the arbitrary 60 fps benchmark isn’t anything that even vaguely resembles a disqualifying factor when it comes to a game’s quality.
Sure, I never said it was, I am a Souls fan after all.

It is if a game claims it does and fails to deliver. Look what most would agree on is once all games can easily achieve a smooth framerate with a standard resolution, only then would I be ok with pushing for more higher resolutions. No more compromising and certainly not just to achieve something like 4k. Like say you can play Bayonetta at 4k…but it runs at a mere 12fps. What’s the point then? A game that runs smooth at 30fps with 1080p? That’s fine as long as it’s the intended vision of the game and not because they’re trying to compromise something.
Man, fuck all that. I been playing games in 1080p, 60+FPS for like 5 or 6 years. Do I give a fuck if every Switch game hits that mark? Hell naw. Give me Skyrim at whatever resolution at 30FPS on a handheld and I just don’t care. I’ll be having fun.
the anticipation is killing me. march 3rd is going to be the worst. i’m going to be looking out my window all day for the mail man to deliver my switch.

I’m getting my switch from Target (ordered online) and getting Breath of the Wild off Amazon. Both should be delivered on release day.
I’ve been on the fence about ordering Super Bomberman R off Amazon as well. I want a game I can play when I want to take a break from BotW but if BotW is as good as it seems to be, I wont be taking any.
Sorry if I missed it but is there any confirmation on how the virtual console will work? I just saw starfox 64 on there but I’d like to be sure I can play it on the switch before I buy it.
No details yet on the VC.
The wait for the Switch is getting harder every day. I keep going back to Youtube to check for more vids.
