The Nintendo Switch Thread! - Deadly Premonition 2: Blessing in Disguise 7/10 - Paper Mario: The Origami King 7/17

Wow the Nintendo Switch subreddit is awful.
Also, splatoon edition of the pro controller is coming state side.

That SNES switch is pretty badass.

While I would never pay that much for the joycons, I can see why he charges that much. It’s really only like $110 that he is making after the cost of the joycons, and that looks like it takes some time and precision.

Looking how much effort goes into just disassembly and reassembly, the $110 barely covers for labor.

If I’m not mistaken Shantae 1/2 Genie Hero is out today on Switch. Pretty cool Metroidvania, not quite as good as Pirate’s Curse (which is brilliant) but definitely worth checking out.

Definitely out. I downloaded it, and with that I’m set for only bringing the Switch along on a four-week vacation trip. Between that, Zelda sidequests, Mario Kart, Blaster Master, and completing the final stretch of Wonder Boy, I’ll have plenty to do in downtime and on planes.

I bought on 3DS shantae and loved it. Will pick this game up for Switch.

Was actually thinking about picking up Half Genie on the Wii U at some point down the road but a Switch release will probably be the best option since it will likely still get support.

Really hope this E3 brings some news on brand new games being released on the Switch. Also hope it shows despite EA’s naming issues and lack of the Journey mode and probably other features that their Switch version of FIFA will at least still be viable and have online support. I don’t want another Mass Effect 3 on Wii U situation which by all accounts they are bringing about.

The odds of a new Wii U game is extremely unlikely.
The only companies that ever shown interest in dead systems was EA and Square Enix.
Nether EA or Square Enix has any interest in the Wii U.

Square Enix made the Final Fantasy Origins collection (Remakes of FF1 and FF2) for the PS1 in 2002, 2 years after the PS2 been out.
And EA known to make FIFA for older consoles, being the last holdouts for old console support and EA never made anything for the Wii U.

What the fuck are you even talking about?

He’s talking about EA making games for the Switch.

I don’t care if EA makes anything from the Switch.
EA directly stole from me so fuck em.

Do we even want a mainline Pokemon game on Switch? Have any of you played Pokemon Colosseum or XD since 2010? The games feel ok, but you really notice that the Pokemon series is optimized for the DS family at this point.

Not gonna lie, I’d buy it…but just not sure it’d feel right.

I finally had some free time and did the typesetting, so for anyone still interested on this one

Pokemon—yeah that’s a negative for me… it kinda makes sense though since I was already outside the target audience when Pokemon was invented…but I’ve never been interested in that. The only cool thing ever about it was Mewtwo. The other problem is the turn-based style, and many of you know my hatred for that shit by now. It was great when I saw Smash Bros. Melee included Mewtwo in a much better game…too bad the character sucked compared to almost everyone else though. Heh, sheeeeit… I remember the quality beatdown on some friends back then when Melee was new…but that was only because they were absolutely terrible at the game anyway. I should’ve gone easy on them so they would still have been interested in playing it after that.

I’ll probably buy Pokken though… I was slightly interested in it before…good thing I never bought the WiiU version then.

Imagine a full Pokemon RPG where the battles are like Pokken.

Please don’t make me vomit.

Sounds terrible.

Reggie confirms that Nintendo’s E3 Direct/Spotlight will only be 25 minutes, treehouse will debut and highlight more games, 3ds will not be left out.

Fuck the 3ds. There is absolutely nothing they can do that make me hype for a 3DS release.
Unless they release GBA VC titles or work out the 3DS working as switch controller I can give a shit less.
