I’d personally like the switch to be not only the “console” but also the handheld. if Nintendo just focused purely on the switch as a 2-in-1 it would be great

And Nintendo has more NES consoles that all the versions of the DS and the 3DS out together. That does not mean were going to see a NEW game release at E3.

Nintendo did say they weren’t phasing out the 3DS just yet. But with a mini Switch rumored (because the original is too big, I guess…), it makes me wonder where their priorities are going to lie in the not-too-distant future.
Nintendo is releasing a new version of the 3DS next month. The handheld still has legs.
Well, that’s encouraging for 3DS owners (like myself). Although, I haven’t really played it much at all since I got the Switch. But that’s because ZELDA.
They also released the gameboy micro when the GBA was on its way out too.
The 3DS will eventually die but it’s not dying any time soon. If you think it is after they just announced Ultra Sun and Ultra Moon then you’re wrong.
They have games slated until mid 2018. The 3ds isn’t going anywhere.
Except it’s not on it’s way out. A new model was announced like a month or 2 ago and it’s coming out shortly. Just because you personally don’t care about it doesn’t mean it’s not still doing really well and making them boatloads of money.

There isn’t anything on the youtube channel supporting this either. no mention of what platform. Only thing I can guess is maybe we’ll find out if it really is coming to Switch tomorrow during the presentation or the treehouse streams.
