The Nintendo Switch Thread! - Deadly Premonition 2: Blessing in Disguise 7/10 - Paper Mario: The Origami King 7/17

I want a new wetrix. What company made that game?

I think you’re letting like/love of the character get in the way of this. Didn’t Fire Emblem become popular because of their inclusions in Smash? The game could get a green light because of it maybe? If there wasn’t a new Metroid in development (I doubt it) at least she would be in a better game than the last two ones.

Even though it’s a Nintendo IP. Wave Race could be stopped because of licensing issues.
The Wii Virtual Console version had to have all the Kawasaki and Fanta ad banners replaced with Wii and DS ad banners.
The Wii U VC had the original banners restored.

With Wave Race I feel like they should just outsource it to Vector Unit since they obviously don’t have any advocates for it internally who’re going to push for a development team. If you look at what Vector Unit has achieved with almost no budget on smartphones (Riptide 1 & 2) and how their take on Hydro Thunder turned out last-gen I think they’d be a perfect fit.

Especially if they get some of that Kawasaki Money.

Man I loved me some Wave Race back in the day, I’d love a new version of that game.

Recent interview has revealed that Splatoon 2’s map rotation has now been reduced to every 2 hours instead of 4.

I preferred 1080 snowboarding but Wave Race was cool

I know how we all thought they missed out not calling it splat2n ,but after what happened with the wii u pretty sure they want to avoid further confusion.

They better improve their emulation for Switch VC. Sin and Punishment on the Wii U VC was O K, but their other ‘efforts’ were straight up embarrassing.

The truth has been spoken

That ending. I’m freaking dead.

The main problem with the WiiU VC was the input latency imo. I know people complained about the color looking dark and etc but the lag was too intense to play a lot of nes/snes games properly. It also seemed to vary between platforms. i think the GBA games had significantly less input latency than snes/nes.

There’s no excuse for 8 bit and 16 bit games to look like shit on wii, wii u or switch. It’s just a nintendo gimmick of doing stuff like that on purpose so they can resell you a “better version” down the line. Nintendo’s the king of reselling you shit over and over.

I will admit, Nintendo’s VC on the Wii, Wii U and 3DS and the Nintendo Classic been lack luster at best laughable at worst. I think my hacked PSP does a better job than the ‘NEW’ 3DS when it comes to emulation.
It’s like all of Nintendo’s emulation is running at 240p and then runs everything though a shit filter that was expecting 480i, giving everything this blurry mess and all the colors are darker.

Nintendo would make a killing if they upgraded the older games, even if its just upscaling. adding online multiplayer would be good(where appropriate), as well as leaderboards with achievements, even though achievements are dumb

They don’t need to do that because the fanboys eat up ports with absolutely nothing added. They learned this with Mario Allstars back in the day and have just continued to have the fanboys double dip, even 3 or 4 times, on the same game, doing minimal work. And Nintendo knows their audience and knows they don’t need anything added to make $$$$.

Are we talking about the first time all stars was released or the second? If first…disagree. If second, I can understand where you are coming from.

They did it with the genesis version of Super Street Fighter 2 on the Wii. It had online play added to it. That would be amazing if they just gave us a lobby to link up and play VC games with each other. They do it on emulators from like 20 years ago, it can’t be that hard.

Yeah, didn’t All Stars completely update the graphics to 16 bit and release the before-unreleased-in-the-US Lost Levels?
