Is it worth purchasing the expansion pass for BOTW?

If you liked Breath of the Wild then yes.

I don’t have it yet, as I’m preparing to buy it from Best Buy’s website right now.

It’s a pretty good amount of content. I dislike some of the one hit challenges in it but thats a personal preference thing honestly and isn’t very long either.

I’ve been disliking the trial of the sword challenge but I’ve also been doing it on Hero Mode where I hear it’s vastly harder due to increased health on enemies and them regenerating it, making the lack of resources in the challenge a major issue for me to deal with, especially since I haven’t done any Divine beasts yet either. I hear it’s far more manageable on normal mode. Apperantly I kinda just jumped into the deep end and sank right the bottom on this one lol.

Does it have anything that vastly changes the original story mode, like Iceborne did for base MHW?

In what way do you mean? It doesn’t add a new zone like Iceborne does if that’s what you mean.

Ah okay.
Well I’ll scoop that Expansion pass later and just enjoy the base game!!

Your image is broken…i know exactly the picture it is tho hahaha.

What the expansion adds is some new quests, new gear, and two new dungeons, one a Divine beast and the other a multi floor trial. The trial gives you a weapon upgrade and the divine beast gives a new mode of transport.

Hahaha…and Really?
That’s weird it works fine for me…

Must just be me. Oh well.

Well I had posted a new link to it.
It should work.

But yeah, tomorrow after work I hope to be able to pick up my copy.

The expansion pass gives new challe ges for the divine beasts that will give a small upgrade to the abilities you get from the champions for completing them as well as more story involving them, access to hero mode, access to the mode that lets you see how you’ve traveled and died over the course of your travels (forget what its called), more quests that give you more equipment upon completion, another divine beast to complete that gives you a motorcycle along with the quest to do before getting to it on the Plateau, and the master trials to permanently increase the power of the master sword. Think that covers everything.

Edit: full warning on hero mode, if you wanna jump into the game starting out with that then just know all the enemies regen, have way higher awareness ( this can’t be understated, even with a sneak suit the chance of an enemy going ‘…?!’ when you are 2 miles away is great) and all of the enemies are upgraded up a level in toughness including on the Plateau (They even put a Lynel on the Plateau that wasn’t there before) and all the enemies do double damage. Which means in the beginning you will get one shotted for messing around.

Speaking of Lynels, you WILL get bodied the first time you fight one so don’t take it personal.

@Sonichuman I was trying not to spoil too much so he still had stuff to discover…especially the Motorcycle.

I don’t know the quality of the DLC. I own it but I never finished BotW. I just know after the Ballad of the Champions quest you get a fucking motorcycle.

The only thing I want to know about said motorcycle is if you can Akira drift. If so 10/10. If not 0/10

Probably should have just said something to help with traversal so that’s my bad.

Yea that’s why I said you got a traversal reward in my post. Oh well.

My boi Link gets a friggin’ motorcycle!!!

After MHW, I already know the drill when dealing with large monster bosses.
Take the L, grind out for W and then gear up correctly!!
