That’s cute.
Huh, so there’s no pre-order bonuses or any special collector’s edition for Pokemon SnS?
No. Well, yes an no.
Preordering from amazon gets you an exclusive In-game backpack.
The only “special editions” really are the SW/SH double pack and the SW/SH themed Switch Lite.
I had to look up the amazon preorder, and it’s an in-game accessory. Lol.
I guess I’ll preorder from pokemon center for a free keychain.
Yeah. BestBuy gives you this pouch with special edition coins featuring the titles legendaries but it’s only for the double pack.
GameStop gives you a double sided mini-wall scroll it looks like.
I was going to pre-order the Sword & Shield themed Switch Lite but I saw it doesn’t come bundled with the actual game. I see the point of these special consoles if I don’t get the game with it.
New Pokémon info coming tomorrow

I don’t know why they like announcing stuff so early in the mornings.
it may be because Japan is like 15-16 hours ahead? I know when Fighting Tuesday gets streamed, I get woken up at like 0500 on Monday mornings.
Get your logic out of here.
I don’t know anything about the amibo things you guys post but i been a Nintendo fanboy since like 88. Do you guys think there will be value in this stuff in the future?
My son is gonna turn 1 in about a week. Maybe i start a collection and justify it to my old lady as it’s for him?
Thoughts?
No.
glares at every commercially available amiibo displayed in my room.
If any of them do it’ll be the Mega Yarn Yoshi (it was a TRU exclusive. Goes for around $200usd right now), Qbby (Japanese exclusive and limited edition), and possibly all the Zelda related figures they’ve made.
So you’re saying there’s a chance!
Ehhhhh. Most amiibo don’t hold any real value outside of very very specific ones. Even then those values deflate over time.
Too late Stu. This is happening
Oh I’m not trying to discourage you from buying them in any way. I fucking move amiibo. They’re great little trinkets of nintendo history And of games that have had very little to no merch.
I’m just saying don’t invest a lot in them because out of the almost 200 of them there are, a very small handful of those have raised in value in the 5 years amiibo have been around.
I collect them because they look cool, and are high quality for the price. They also give me cool little bonuses in my games Swoons over recently acquired Fierce Diety Link gear in BOTW
I remember when they first debuted at E3 ‘14. I was like “oh, those are cool. I doubt I’ll get any though. If I do it’ll only be of certain characters”
I had just started working at GameStop back in probably April (they were announced in June, released in November) and while leading into the week of release we were doing inventory of them. Once I saw them in person I knew it was all over. I had to have all of them. Lol
The only amiibo I don’t have are the 400ish amiibo cards and the cereal. Because I find both concepts absolutely fucking stupid. Plus 300/400ish amiibo cards are Animal Crossing. AC is probably my least favorite Nintendo IP.
I kinda wanted the Japan exclusive hello kitty amiibo cards but there’s only 6 of them, they come 2 to a blind bag and they were expensive as fuck out of the gate because they were limited edition. I think at their peak the whole set was going for $120 and individual packs were going for $35.
Surprisingly I’ve only paid over MSRP for a handful of them. Gold Mario, The Skylanders Amiibo, Qbby, the Monster Hunter Stories amiibo and a very small handful of others.
Idk how many of you play fighters on the Switch, but here you go. $17.99.
Haven’t opened it yet, but my copy of The Switcher…erm The Witcher 3 for Switch showed up today. If I can ever get through DQ11, I may actually play something else on my Switch for more than 30 minutes. Thought I beat DQ11 for a minute but nope. Not really complaining, the game is great. I just wish I didn’t have to work so I could write, watch movies, watch “TV”, and play games all day.
They added a shit ton of new content into XI-S. They basically broke apart and sprinkled the 3DS version that was released in Japan throughout the game on top of adding new 5-10 hour side quests for every Party member including Hero.
Games fucking huge.
