The only Zelda game I’ve never beat was BotW. I just didn’t enjoy that game in any way shape or form. I got maybe 15-20 hours into the game before I stopped playing it.
I understand. Its one of the less zelda feeling versions. Kinda why i dont fuck with majora. Doesn’t feel like zelda at all.
BOTW is what you make of it.
For sure. You can get that og zelda feeling but you gotta avoid getting sidetracked. Pretty hard to not get sidetracked tho. So much to do.
You only gotta avoid getting side tracked if that’s what you want to do. Game was designed for you to wander off or stick to your objective. It’s entirely up to you.
If people gets sidetracked too much on BOTW, god help them on a Elder Scrolls game
Yep. But there’s a demographic of people who don’t get into those games for that very reason. The amount of extra stuff is almost overwhelming to them.
So if you like zelda but also get overwhelmed by lots of extra stuff, you’re probably goingvto avoid botw
It’s all 100% optional so unless you’re an OCD completionist I think you can deal.
That’s pretty much all open world games.
The way these games work for me is I usually have to avoid all the side stuff and play through the story first. Getting hooked onto the characters and the world will make me want to explore every little piece of the world afterwards. That’s what I had to do with The Witcher 3.
I haven’t gotten around to BotW yet though. I borrowed a friend’s copy.
Loving LA as well. I’d place it much higher on my list of favorite Zeldas if it wasn’t for all the slowdown. Im hoping Nintendo might release a patch like they did for BOTW but I don’t have my hopes up. Still, nothing beats the fun of using bomb arrows in this game.
But the Side Stuff in a Open world game where all the “Meat” of the game is at.
The Main Quest is just a side thing for me, and all the Side quest gets your character more loot, gear and skills.
Example in BTTW 95/98% of the game all Skippable, you got some beginning quest/Tutorials (which can be skipped if you know how) and a final Boss Battle. 4 Dungeons serve to knock out 4 mandatory Boss fights Early and weaken the final boss. You can make a direct line to Ganon as a Naked Link Armed with a Tree branch.
Sadly aside from exp or cash Witcher 3s quest rewards for sidequests are pretty trash and the best gear is all crafted so side questing for gear in that one is generally a waste of time. I broke down all my quest rewards for mats for crafting.
ha, that reminds me that the funny thing about TES V: Skyrim is that the main questline/story was actually the least interesting thing about it, imo. All the side-stuff and your own random adventures in the world were far more compelling… in fact in the insane amounts of time I played that game—I never finished that main story…never even did much of it at all, actually. Usually my real adventures involved becoming a badass vampire at some point.
There’s so many moments from when I was playing it several years ago that I still remember with a smile like “heh heh…yeah that was awesome.” …such a shame this franchise is owned by that other company which should also not be named…I actually have Skyrim on Switch but didn’t play that much since the lineup on this system has been on fire from day 1. I’m just now getting around to X-Morph Defense which I bought nearly a year ago.
Clips— y’know, this is one of the best features to be on gaming systems in years, man… I was checking my various clips on Switch earlier today… stuff from Skyrim, several from Bayonetta 2, Broforce, Pokken, Wizard of Legend, etc. I’m hoping that this is just standard stuff at this point that will always be on systems in the future. I still keep a lot of clips on XB1 too.
Will there be any Switch Lite bundles for Pokemon?
They announced a Pokémon Sword/Shield edition of the lite a while back. I don’t know if it’s bundled with either title though.
Considering it’s the same price as the base models switches I doubt it comes bundled with anything.
Nintendo usually announces the holiday bundles within the first few weeks of November.
I plan on getting a Lite and Pokemon for my nephew this holiday. I know Nintendo did bundles with the DS and 3DS for it’s Pokemon releases. A bundle for the Lite would kill two birds with one stone for me.
I honestly kinda want one despite not needing it. I really like the color scheme
I like the engravings of the game’s legendary on the back of the console. I could have done without the blue and pink buttons.
So the best part.
