The Nintendo Switch Thread! - Deadly Premonition 2: Blessing in Disguise 7/10 - Paper Mario: The Origami King 7/17

So apparently and unfortunately the Ni No Kuni port for switch is really, really, really bad.

Constant dialog audio drops, stammering and poor lip synch

Models move really jaggedly and seemingly “teleport” at times during cut scenes

Constant and huge dips in frames. Docked and handheld. Especially in battles.

I am disapoint

I don’t get how a game as massive and complex as the Witcher can port over to the Switch and it be considered a technological marvel, and then this shit happens.

I mean, I get it, but it sucks donkey ballsacks.

Fucked up thing with some publishers, they don’t always push for quality on the Switch ports, either half adding it or getting another cheap development team to handle the port.

When it was announced that Switch port wouldn’t feature the new stuff the other remasters are getting I figured it was bad but they didn’t even to port it right. A shame you figured with all the work Bandai Namco is getting with helping with Smash Bros Ultimate they would be on good terms but this and the Dark Souls remaster delay shows a bad trend.

Yeah it’s bad when Bethesda does a better job than Namco

I mean…panic button did those ports and is handling doom eternal. So not really Bethesda.

Namco/Bandai kinda strikes me as a lazy ass company anyway, just from certain little annoyances I’ve seen with Soul Calibur games…like the custom character mode bein about 99% recycled shit from the past 2 games, only worse now since it has to fucking load for a slight moment when you do something as simple as change a character shirt or pants…(a certain friend is creating characters all the time on that; I am not sure how he can tolerate it)…and they still never bother to make sure various clothing items actually fit the character model…like a necklace will appear to be floating in mid-air around your neck…what the fuck is that??!..yeah yeah, minor gripes I know, but those games are soooo half-ass, imo…it’s one of my regrettable purchases of this console era.

But they knew that they were not up to the task and got outside help. Namco just did a shit job as a quick cash in.

Yeah but Bethesda had the good sense to hand off the ports to a capable developer. Heck I’d never heard of the company that did the MK11 Switch port and even they managed to pull off a good port.

Idk I just looked at the reviews and most of them are good. Only one review talked about running into those issues… maybe their Switch is bad?

Bethesda/Nintendo team up to make 25th anniversary controller. Unfortunately it’s made in-house by Bethesda so it isn’t a pro controller. It needs 2 AA batteries.

Speaking of controllers, PowerA making a Saturn inspired controller. Other consoles have a version too. $60 though.

Just got my email notification from amazon saying my Dreamer Edition of Links Awakening has shipped

noticed that Link’s Awakening was out at the Walmart near the house here and was available for purchase.

If you try to purchase it the register will soft lock on the employee denying the sale. Just like at GameStop, Best Buy and Target.

There was likely a miscommunication between Inventory team/CAP Team (shelf stockers)/Electronics department.

It unfortunately happens more often than you’d think. Lines of communication at Walmart are abysmal.

So are the lines at checkout.

:drum:
