The Nintendo Switch Thread! - Deadly Premonition 2: Blessing in Disguise 7/10 - Paper Mario: The Origami King 7/17

it’s gonna be really close for me to pick up a physical copy of River City Girls through Limited Run. Next week I’m paying for my Granblue Premium Box.

Not that it matters because of NSO having no messaging (seriously…) but I’m grabbing my copy of DxM today.

These Seteth memes are killing me.:rofl::rofl:

I am glad before the Nintendo policy police got to him the Seteth VA managed to get that one done.

IIRC he’s done like four or five. It’s the only one I saw people animate. There is one with Claude doing a McDonald’s commercial. Apparently his VA did one int he past and someone took the audio and combined with a scene from the game  Wait found it.

More info

DRAGON QUEST will be priced at $4.99,

DRAGON QUEST II: Luminaries of the Legendary Line will be priced at $6.49,

DRAGON QUEST III: The Seeds of Salvation will be priced at $12.49.

All three titles will be available digitally for the Nintendo Switch system on September 27 and are rated T (Teen) by the ESRB.

TBH. Those prices are actually really good. I have I-VI on iOS and they were all $13-15usd.

Now IV, V and, VI plz.

Look its Sword Goku (what anime fans dubbed it as from the Anime adaption).

From the Dragon Quest Anime (Akira Toriyama was brought for the Anime has his designs work with the existing monster designs, but he didn’t work on designs for the original game).

I was thinking I’d have to get the first three DQ games on the Japanese eShop, because of there being little to no chance (at the time) that they were gonna be on the US eShop. Glad to know I was proven wrong!

I mean…same. I was crossing my fingers the entire time while I was explaining why I doubt they’d come stateside but man…I’ll happily eat crow on this one.

I hope if these sell really well they’ll bring over Chapters of the Chosen (DQIV), Hand of the Heavenly Bride (V) and, Realms of Revelation (VI).

Fuck. Bring over the DQ Monsters Games too. They just announced the original DQM is getting a switch port! Bring them all over! There’s like 10 of them! I especially want to play Caravan of Hearts, Joker 2 Professional and Joker 3 International

Port Dragon Quest Swords: The Masked Queen and the Tower of Mirrors as well! That game sucked but it was also really fun!

It was essentially a Dragon Quest rail shooter. Kinda ridiculous. Super easy too. I actually beat it with default equipment mixed with quest gear I got because I didn’t know where the weapon/armor shops were in the hub world until post-game.:joy::sob:

Also fun fact about it: It’s considered a sequel to a Japan on plug and play Dragon Quest Title called “Swordmaster Dragon Quest: Resurrection of the Legendary Sword“ because they almost the exact same gameplay and share a few story elements.

Well SquareEnix did the groundwork for a US port with iPhone releases, only problem with this is I loath most ports from iPhone to PC/Console as they cheap out on the updated graphics. Square has a bad history of this, hence why I avoid the Modern PC ports of their SNES Final Fantasy titles.

I’m sure that if the ports are bad that people are most def gonna let Square know about it.

The graphics of the iOS DQ games are more or less untouched. Just polish and QoL adjustments were made.

The redesigned FF ports for iOS aren’t really that bad tbh. The only really gross one is FFIV. They reoptimized the ugly as sin DS port. Thankfully they left After Years more-or-less untouched.

The UI/Menu Screens for the iOS ports of FF are ugly as sin tho.

It is that bad, with theses comparisons I actually prefer the SNES graphics and Sounds/Music
I rather have low res sprites than cheap budget Polygons.

That is good to hear.

US Mario Kart 8 Deluxe tourney apparently
