I got that fun to use though clunky if you’re more mobile like myself. Still a reasonable option
I got one of those, works great with the NES Mini and SNES Mini controllers.
It also works great with Game Cube Controllers.
Plus they have no more lag than the official Nintendo wired Game Cube USB Adapters.
You can use the SNES Mini controller with that 8bitdo adapter??
Yes, its the same connector as the NES Mini and the Wii Classic Pro controller
Dude. That’s bad ass! The SNES controller is my absolute favorite for 2D Mario games. I got the mini over Christmas and my brother and I 100 percented SMW. Controller felt great. Are there any latency issues with it?
if you scroll up I posted this
Ah, word. Thanks. I think I’m gonna order that bitch.
That is the most fundamental problem with the DS4. It’s the same design from the PSX controller that tacked on the analog stick in a place that was the only place it could be tacked on. And they haven’t moved it since then. It’s in a terrible position. The fact that my two thumbs can hit easily while using them both is just stupid.
I agree that the X1 controller isn’t that great. The 360 controller was better than X1 controller and is the second best controller IMO, next to the pro.
I agree about the pro d-pad being not the greatest, but I mean I don’t use the dpad for pretty much anything so I don’t care.
Fair enough, I play most of the retro style games I buy on Switch so the D-Pad matters a bit more in my case. I agree that for typical modern games it isn’t an issue.
I also do agree that the analog stick on the pro controller is a little janky for MM2. I have too experienced it going up/down when I didn’t want it to, like when pressing 90% forward and 10% up or something along those lines. It’s like it’s too sensitive in the Y axis than the X axis. But I believe this is a MM2 issue and not a controller issue. I’ve never had that issue with any other game.
I am no expert on controllers but have had multiple Nintendo systems in my life. The Switch Pro Controller is one of the first that I had to replace in a year besides a third party GC due to it’s analog stick going screwy.
The same issue happened with Celeste when I played it docked, too. It sucks, because for Odyssey and BotW the Pro controller is better than any other I’ve used. But that D pad is janky.
Oh I’m talking about with the analog stick I was seeing that behavior. I can’t use the dpad for games really because it’s so small. It just doesn’t feel right when I use it even for 2D platformers.
I have been using my Wii Classic for 2D games.
With that adapter?
Yea
Switch Pro controller is kinda laggy compared to other Switch controllers
Can’t say I’ve experienced this lag.
Its not much lag, and it isn’t really noticeable by most.
And if you aren’t a young 20 something in the esports scene you never notice.
Lag on Switch controllers goes as follow (Most laggy to least)
8Bitdo Wireless Adapter + Sony Dual Shock3/4 > Pro Controllers and Joycons (wireless) > Nintendo’s GameCube USB Adapter and 8Bitdo Gbros Wireless Adapter (attached controller dont matter) > Official/ licensed Wired USB Controllers > Joycons attached in handheld mode.
