So apparently the Switch version of Bloodstained is outselling the PS4 and XB1 versions combined. Explains why they scrambled so quickly to begin fixing the port

Portability too OP. Although I just had a nasty crash last night. Met this NPC and during the dialogue the screen looked like when a gpu crashes. After I finished talking, the game closed shortly after.

I think they’ll take care of the input lag, crashes, and load times. Anything beyond that will be a bonus.

Are any of the ACA Shmups good? The only ones I recognize are Twinkle Star Sprites (I know it’s not a traditional shmup) and 1945 Plus.
Also any shmups you’d recommend in general?
What systems/PC to?
ACA has plenty of good SHMUPs. Omega Fighter is one of my favorites, especially if you love going for high scores. Score multiplier is proximiety based so the closer you are to an enemy when you take them out, the higher your score. Risky play is highly rewarded in Omega Fighter. You can even strategically kamikaze for massive points under the right conditions.
Blazing Star is also awesome. Multiple ships to choose from, cool power ups.
Getting Arcade Classics Anniversary Collection is basically getting ACA Gradius, Gradius II, Life Force and Thunder Cross since HAMSER developed this collection.
Several ACA SHMUPs have hit the Switch as of late that I really need to check out like Image Fight, Armed F and Terra Force.

For everything but reading, yes. Dark mode in Photoshop for example is a godsend. But reading like that makes my eyes hurt after a while and I’ll see after-images of the text after focusing for too long. Some people say it’s because the focal point (words) is the only part of the screen that reflects light.
Grey words on black backgrounds would be okay I think (doesn’t twitter work like that?) but the white on black that we have here as an option is definitely not a solution for me.
I played the originals as a teenager and loved the fucking shit out of both games. The fact that NIS is gonna remaster the graphics and make it look like Fire Emblem basically is pretty dope.
