The Nintendo Switch Thread! - Deadly Premonition 2: Blessing in Disguise 7/10 - Paper Mario: The Origami King 7/17

Absolutely getting this game on Wednesday when I get paid.

Edit: fucking a. Maybe not. It’s $30. I figured it was going to be like &15-$20. Holy shit.

I actually dont see anything special, its a rhythm game with anime lolis in it

Neat.

It’s got good music, cool character designs, cool aesthetics, and I like weird rhythm games like this.

I’m not going to buy it until it’s onsale though. $30 is just too expensive for me.

I knew CircleToonsHD would not disappoint.

(Cris Tales looks so god damn good. I’m in love with the art style)

The Switch version of Rad didn’t look rad at all in their Treehouse presentation. Blurry, low-res, low framerate – it’s not quite Ark levels of bad but it’s frighteningly close.

Would have loved to play that on Switch because it fits the system like a glove but unless they make some miracles happen very soon I’ll have to get it on another platform.

I mean, graphical and sometimes technical compromises are always going to be a thing people are going to have to deal with on the Switch. It happens with almost every title that’s played in handheld mode. Even more so when it comes to 3rd party games that were originally designed with another and more powerful system in mind.

Not every port can be PanicButton quality, you know?

Still, there’s a difference between a compromise and a bad port. Crash with simpler lighting and no fur was a compromise, this is a bad port.

I mean I’ll wait until the final version is out to make a decision but if it looks like this I’m going to play it on Xbox.

I love watching people fuck around in this game

Didn’t even know you could clash swords with enemies.

Some info about FE - Three Houses leaked

11.9gb file size
Will have NSO support (leak doesn’t specify how it’s implemented. Just says its supported)
amiibo support
Will have DLC/Season Pass that includes Missions and Costumes.

had a conversation with the wife a couple of days ago regarding my purchase of a Switch for Christmas. As it stood at that time, I wasn’t going to be able to get one because I had $160 of accessories on top of the cost of the switch unit itself; and the wife was like; get the cost cheaper and I’ll consider it.

So my plan is to take about $150 of my next social security check (which comes next week) and buy the accessories off amazon that I have wishlisted, and ask for the Pro controller for my Birthday (which will be about 3 weeks after christmas) along with the Switch Vouchers, that way I’m guaranteed two games to play.

The Switch Mini is the worst kept secret in the industry. You may be able to snag one cheaper than you think.

Knowing Nintendo, they are waiting for the end of summer so the Switch mini is fresh in people’s minds for the holiday season and before Sword and Shield.

I wouldn’t be surprised if they announce it in a direct right before the holiday bundles are announced.

what I may end up doing if it’s allowed to happen is put the money together through Walmart’s layaway, then once the holiday bundles are announced; cancel the layaway on the main switch unit and snag a holiday bundle if possible.

Walmart only does seasonal layaway. It starts in August and ends December 10th according to Walmart’s website. But I honestly think it varies from store to store cause the store I work at starts layaway November 1st and ends December 20th.

Gris is getting several limited edition physical bundles. Including a $250 bundle.

I… I don’t know if I can play this visual novel. I thought the anime was gonna be a slice of live series but it hit me with so many gut punches.

ha, good thing I waited on “Gris” then… more space saved then by buying physical instead of digital…I can’t remember at the moment if that was a big one file-wise or not (probably not?) but I’ll always prefer physical if I have the choice, especially on Switch.

On another note, it goes against my usual tendency to be a cheapskate but I’m considering buying a 2nd AC adapter… it’s annoying to look for it only to realize I left it AGAIN at work (like last night; and my system is on a 20% charge right now!), or at home… with a 2nd one, one stays at home permanently and the other one stays there at work permanently…it would also mean 1 less thing I’m carrying around in my trip between those places…
edit—heh, BOUGHT already; I noticed they didn’t have AC adapters (oh what a surprise; this damn store never has anything in stock) but they did have the car adapter for 9 bucks so I got that now.
