I was expecting $40… or even $30. Look at games like Dragon’s Dogma.
The bigger issue isn’t the loss of Mega Evolutions and Z moves, it is the limited Pokedex that they are said to be implementing which means certain Pokemon from older games can’t be traded into Sword and Shield.
the Dragon Quest 11 Switch Console is available from Nintendo Japan directly as well. White Rabbit will buy the console and ship it to you for around $475.
Yeah. This. As soon as this was announced during Treehouse r/Pokémon and twitter went through a nuclear meltdown.
I’m not going to lie and say I’m not upset about the price. For switch anyways. It’s just a [downgraded] port. With the PS4 version it’s a remaster that includes all the DLC like the gold familiars and the retail preorder exclusive familiars. So $50 for the PS4 version I get—sorta.
I agree though. It should be a $30-40 port.
Also, while at lunch I figured out something really fucking cool. My employee discount card works on eShop currency. That shouldn’t be a thing but super stoked that it is.
Indy Treehouse Demo’s from today
And it one one of the few things that keep an aging RPG series relevant to me was keeping the older gens relevant.
I almost Quit Pokemon for good with White and Black. Sold off all my GBA and DS games.
Sorta came back with Y and X and Sun and Moon got me excited to play Pokemon again.
So I say again, Says you.
We are assuming they allow cross compatibility with any of the older 3DS Pokemon games and Sword and Shield which is on the Switch. Nintendo did this before with the Jump from GB/GBC to GBA, and GBA jump to DS.
They already announced the Pokemon Home app which is supposed to allow you to upload Pokemon from the 3DS Pokemon Bank, Sword and Shield, Pokemon Go or Let’s Go, although now we know that anything going to Sword and Shield has to be one of those that are in the game. So it isn’t the same as the GB to GBA era in terms of no connection, they are purposely omitting Pokemon from being able to even appear in the new game.
Thanks for the life story.
The general consensus of the Pokémon fan base though found them unnecessary additions. Which I agree with.
While I appreciate they’ve started doing “add a new mechanic for the region” most of them just are done very haphazardly and not very well thought out.
As much as I love Kaiju battles, dynamax falls in the same category to me. Until they show more of Sword/Shield it’s a pretty skippable addition to me.
I hated Sun/Moon. Didn’t bother even trying US/UM. and I didn’t hate it because of Z-moves though that was a key factor.
Everything just felt uninspired. The story like (which I know has never been pokemon strong suit but I enjoy them usually) was bad, the game was exceedingly and frustratingly linear in gameplay, no difficulty curve, no really memorable characters except Guzma (who is fucking great), and almost all the Pokémon from that gen are forgettable. Alola variants of pokemon were cool but again, it was done as something to keep older gens relevant. Sun/Moon was the only main line Pokémon game I never finished because I disliked it so much.
X/Y was super solid though. Fairy was a welcomed addition, the region was cool, the starters were great, lots of memorable Pokémon, cool locations. It was a good game. Mega’s were whatever.
was browsing randomly on NintendoEverything and came across this op vid for a Switch game called Omega Labyrinth Life. There’s apparently a whole series of these games that have been released in Japan.
Anywho, random anime titties inbound! (also major NSFW warning):
I’m going to import the DQXI pro controller. I have the slime and metal slime co trollers for PS2 and the slime controllers for PS4. Gotta get the one for switch.
Plus the Japanese/Asian versoin of Final Fantasy X/X-2.
I sorta mentioned that
My bad, I’m kind of losing the clear view of everything happening during E3, particularly while browsing more than just one forum.
Good, I hated Resetti
No a big deal, hence the wink
I need a web comic, fan art or video edit which takes the South Park exaggerated line about ‘They took our jobs!’ Put in Resetti’s mouth.
I love when Nintendo says random shit like this about their characters and games. Gives them more personality.
