The Nintendo Switch Thread! - Deadly Premonition 2: Blessing in Disguise 7/10 - Paper Mario: The Origami King 7/17

Never thought about it. But now I may add it to a relaxing playlist.

I posted this in the General VGD thread but the Contra Anniversary Collection had the emulation handled by M2. They, along with HAMSTER are wizards at making old games run just like the originals. I was playing arcade Contra last night. On Easy and that game STILL kicked me in the balls. BUT since I can play it anywhere, I can get gud on the go.

Also interesting that we have three versions of OG Contra on here. AC, NES and Famicom. Also, what are the differences between US Hard Corps and EUR? Other than the characters being robots.

You might on to something here. I will try it.

I recorded a bunch of DKC music on a tape when I was 14 to listen to as I went to sleep.

It worked fucking great, despite the intermittent “ooh-ooh ahh-ahhs” from making Donkey and Diddy remain idle for 20 mins.

that aquatic theme from the first DKC is one of my favorite tracks from the 16-bit era…actually one of my favorite gaming themes just generally speaking.

sheeeeit I had such a good run in Dead Cells earlier… Very Hard 2-cell setting…but with one of my most effective builds… that explosive crossbow that does huge damage, with 14 points in tactics; 2nd highest stat was survival…and I had a legendary version of “pyrotechnics”…both it and the crossbow weapon were s-rank status too…with my usual necromancy passive and vengeance…sadly I finally got cut down in the Clock Tower. This is one of the hardest games of the current generation for sure, but it’s rarely any situation that feels unfair. I’m still hoping they never tone down the elite enemies either… I enjoy the fact that some enemies are so godlike that you probably CAN’T beat them if you have anything less than the most ideal setup at the time, and thus you just have to avoid them.

Magneto is still OP in every game that he’s in!!

The Witcher 3 is the first Switch title on a 32GB cart to release outside of Asia.

Because apparently Nintendo made the 32gb carts expensive for some odd reason.

What size are the carts usually?

Depends on the game, but developers/publishers can ask for different sizes. But just like any storage the price goes up, there was talk of a 64 GB card after the first year but Nintendo stated they wouldn’t have them.
Personally I think they scrapped plans because no one was picking the 32 GB and instead getting smaller ones and having gamers download the rest of the game. Besides Witcher, the only game I know that used the 32 GB is the Switch version of Dragon Quest Heroes 1 and 2 collection that launched with the Switch in Japan.

Depends, The cartridges come in a variety of capacities: 1 GB, 2 GB, 4 GB, 8GB, 16 GB and 32 GB

64 GB cartridges were planned to be introduced in the second half of 2018, but due to unspecified circumstances, Nintendo has delayed the launch of this variant until 2019

And the are jointly developed by Nintendo and SanDisk

I have no problem paying $60 for a new game if they can just fit everything onto the cart.

I have the Asia version of FFX/X2 on Switch. It is on a 32 GB card. As far as why Nintendo made them so expensive, because they are more expensive. Nintendo doesn’t eat cost, they pass it along.

Who needs mega evolutions when every Pokemon can become a kaiju?

It doesn’t bother me because I only know like 5 pokemon after Gen 1. And I never played any games after that so I’m starting from scratch anyway.

Both were horrible gimmicks. Mega’s were just a way to keep older gen’s relevant. Some of the designs looked really cool. Most didn’t.

Z-Moves were just awful in general.

Also. I doubt you actually care. You’re likely just being antagonistic for the sake of it.

Preorder is up, but wth… $50 for a port.

You say it like you’re surprised.
