yeah, 3rd party docks have been bricking switches.
not a good look.
Only since 5.0. Probably a coincidence that they put out a patch that bricks Switches using third party devices that do the same thing, then announce their own, right?

The only “3rd” party dock you ever want is the actual Official Dock with the PCB place into a smaller case.

As Darksakul stated, no it is not a good idea at all.
It is basically like getting your body pierced by a homeless guy that operates out of a dirty white van. Sure there is a possibility that it will all work out but the odds are against it and on least terrible things that can happen to you are getting infected with something.

Just curious as it’s not a dock per say but ok. If that USB C plug that sticks out of the Nintendo switch charging dock doesn’t fold then that’s crap.
Monster hunter should have happened like 6 months ago, but at least we are getting it. take the extra time to put polish on it is fine with me
Kind of excited to start DKC tomorrow. I hope it’s as challenging as people say. It’s going to make my 2ish hour flight go by fast, as will the jack and cokes!
Nvidia has already designed a new chip set. Should be in production this year. First gen Switches will increase in value over time.

Not following how obsolete tech will become more valuable after a newer version comes out. That’s typically not how it works, especially when there are 10’s of millions of these items already in the wild. Especially if the old versions don’t do anything special that the new ones do.
The current processors on the Switch has a vulnerability on the boot ram that’s allows the system to be jailbroken. The flaw is on a hardware level so Nintendo can’t patch it out. Homebrew, piracy and online hacking been busted wipe open for the Switch. Being a piracy machine will cause the value of first gen Switches to go up once they get phased out.

It’s a hardware exploit. The OS version of the Switch is inconsequential.

Ok so Blade Strangers is going to have Shovel Knight and Gunvolt on the roster besides the yoyo girl.
Damn I was leaning towards Blazblue CTB or SNK heroines but this is looming way to insane to pass up.
Same sort of roster madness had me buy Waku Waku 7 instead of KOF when I first got the Switch. Money go bye bye.
