Phoenix Wright is on my to-buy list but I honestly doubt I will ever get around to buying them.
I just don’t care enough about the series.
Neither did I, but I sat down for half an hour last week with the first case and I just fell in love with everyone in the game, the writing is so good.

Better late than never, do you want me to ‘link’ you with the other 3 games?
Also Pearls>Maya, she is soooooooooooooooooooooo cute X3
I agree, Maya is godlike. I got hooked on the series in a similar fashion. I thought it looked interesting, and couldn’t put it down once I picked it up. The characters are very easy to love. It seems like most people play it not knowing what to expect, and are then pleasantly surprised.
I like all of the games in the series, but my favorites are definitely the first and third.
Well I’m one of those rare folks that actually bought the game and I don’t have one of those flash cards or whatever.
Haha, but hell ‘link’ me anyway~
been playing PW3 a lot recently, really good stuff. I loved the first 2 games, and can’t wait to play kenji when it comes out.
if you can’t find the US versions of Phonix Wright 2 and 3, import it. The Japanese DS carts(which is what I’m playing on) have both English and Japanese. But Apollo Justice is only Japanese.
That’s awesome so you buy a game, back it up, and return it there you go free game! I need to get one it’s posts like these that make me feel stupid for buying games when others get them free.
The only reason I haven’t traded my dsl for dsi is gba slot but if I were able to somehow plays gba games on dsi…
according to this there is a way:
Top 5 for me:
Scribblenauts is fun, though M&L is more likely make its way in once I can coax it to get out of my brother’s DS.
I should also get around to trying the copy of Bubble Bobble: Double Shot I managed to snag.

Could someone here please tell me why the DSi is worth buying?
I’m not saying it isn’t worth buying, I just want to know, because I’m completely in the dark, and trust SRK to be honest (in most things) more than the rest of the internet.
Much appreciated.
dsi has built in web browser. if you don’t plan on surfing the net, get the lite
R4 is all you need to know
Same here. I’ve never even cared to try it out from dl’ing. Something about text based games that I don’t really care for… Too much reading perhaps.
The novelty wears off by the second game.
Second game is ok, third game is gdlk, 4th game makes you forget about the main character.
I’m going to totally agree with your assessment here. The second game was completely forgettable; there were times when I got bored and/or frustrated with it. In comparison, the 3rd game was fantastic. It tied up a lot of loose ends from the first and second games, it had interesting writing (references to Star Wars and 300, no less), and it had Godot/Francisca/Edgeworth at their finest.
The 4th was. . .kind of mediocre. It felt odd because the game focused on Apollo Justice, who was just a poor man’s Phoenix Wright. The actual cases themselves were almost as uninteresting as the 2nd game, but whenever it focused on Phoenix Wright, it was actually quite good.
The 2nd game in hindsight is OK IMO.
My biggest gripe with the 4th game is that the cases were not written well;
Saiban 4
lack of a motive to convict in the first case, the antagonist’s sudden 180 in the 2nd day trial, the stupidity of convicting a young skinny kid of killing someone with a revolver THAT CAN DISLOCATE EVEN A GROWN-UP’S ARM, and the final one was rather dumb in that there was no motive to convict the defendant for the murder when you consider how sheltered she is.
Non the less, Saiban 4 had an awesome soundtrack and the art was beautiful IMO.
A 5th game with Apollo has potential though.
The Wizard of Oz game is a pretty damn good RPG, but the saves are just so far apart.
